A spokesperson for the ‘Young Frankenstein’ star says the star is fine following news that she was rushed to hospital by ambulance for suffering from dehydration.
AceShowbiz -A spokesperson for “Young Frankenstein” and “Tootsie” star Teri Garr has insisted the actress is “fine” after being hospitalised on Monday, December 30.
Reports emerged on Monday night that the 75-year-old screen star had been taken to a local medical centre by ambulance due to a “medical emergency.”
However, a representative for the actress stressed the situation was much more minor than first implied, and said Garr had actually been suffering from dehydration, which led to confusion.
“Teri is fine. She had some confusion which it turns out was caused by dehydration,” her spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight Canada. “To be cautious they are keeping her overnight and she’ll be home tomorrow.”
The actress has suffered health issues for years and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999. She also suffered a brain aneurysm in late 2006, but recovered and returned to acting until she retired in 2011.
