Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of global superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z, has earned her first career Billboard Hot 100 hit with “Brown Skin Girl.”
Seven-year old Blue Ivy’s “Brown Skin Girl” debuted at No. 76 on the chart. “Brown Skin Girl” is a song from Beyoncé’s companion album to The Lion King movie, The Gift.
The 27-track album also features Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Mr Eazi, Pharrell, Tekno, and Major Lazer.
The Gift debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 54,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending July 25, according to Nielsen Music.
Meanwhile, Blue Ivy’s father, Jay-Z earned his 100th solo appearance on the Hot 100 chart with the help of his latest single “Mood 4 Eva,” becoming just the 6th artist in history to record triple-digit solo appearances on Hot 100 chart.
