When Hannah Brown asked Tyler Cameron on a date in the wake of the whole Jed Wyatt debacle, the denizens of Bachelor Nation assumed Brown had found the “happily ever after” ending she had been pursuing since day one.
But that didn’t turn out to be the case …
Sure, Tyler was spotted leaving Hannah’s house early in the morning not long after their first non-televised date, but it seems the contractor/male model is a big believer in the two-night stand.
Because shortly thereafter, he kicked Hannah to the curb for a celeb who shares his passion for runway walking.
Yes, as you may have heard, Tyler appears to be dating fellow model Gigi Hadid these days.
It hasn’t affected his fan-favorite status, as the man really owes nothing to Hannah after she threw him overboard and chose Jed instead.
But while Hannah may be forced to accept Tyler’s decision, she certainly doesn’t have to like it.
And the woman at the helm of the most disastrous season in Bachelorette history made her feelings abundantly clear in a recent interview:
“He has every right to do whatever he wants because we were just, you know, hanging out, seeing where it goes. And I am completely fine with that,” Hannah told Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky-Manno on their Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.
“It was a little confusing but, um, he can do whatever he wants to and I know that I can too,” Brown added.
“And I am going to continue going onward and upward and I just think that I’ve made it very clear…I have no shame in saying I had feelings. I totally did.
“I totally still have feelings but, at the same time, I am not tied to any man or tied to Tyler and I’m not going to be.”
Hannah might be semi-cool with Tyler’s promiscuity, but Rachel made it perfectly clear that she believes dude was out of line:
“I guess I find it disrespectful,” Lindsay said.
“It’s kind of like, bro, slow your roll. You’re on Twitter talking about ‘Hannah’s the queen’ and preaching about respect, but then you’re being a little disrespectful by dating [Hadid] in such a public way where you know it’s going to get so much attention,” the host added.
“I think that’s my beef with it.”
“I think that’s my beef with it too,” Hannah concurred, sounding as though she’d just heard that term for the first time.
“And the thing is…we are not dating dating, at all, we hung out, but we also had conversations of both like knowing that there’s still something there. And when you are in the public eye, you do just have to be respectful of each other,” Brown added.
“Yeah, I wish I would’ve got a little bit more than two days. But, you know, it is OK.”
Asked about how Tyler would fare as the next Bachelor, Hannah threw out a backhanded compliment:
“I mean, I think he likes to date around, so maybe he would be a good Bachelor,” she said.
Did she just combine trash-talk with an endorsement?
That’s almost enough to make us forgive her for keeping Luke P. around for the entire freakin’ season.
