Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona sparks concern as she says she’s ‘getting worse’ amid Covid battle as she takes to Instagram to share an update with fans.
The TV favourite, 41, has taken to her Instagram story to share with her 790k followers an update on her ongoing battle with Covid.
She shared a dark picture of herself in a dressing gown and captioned it: “Why do I feel like I’m getting worse and not better???”
Kerry – who revealed just before Christmas she had tested positive – has told fans she “pushed through Christmas” for the kids but is still feeling really unwell with the virus.
In a second post she shared a photo of herself in a red dressing gown lying in bed looking unwell and captioned it: “F**k off Covid!”
She then wrote to fans: “Not good!!! I’m in a bad way. I pushed through Christmas for the kids but by my god this isn’t good! (four crying face emojis) just want to be well now!”
She went on: “Physically and emotionally exhausted! Merry f***king Christmas!”
She ended the update with: “Started feeling really poorly on the Sunday! LAST WEEK!!!!! How much longer???? It’s been over a week!!”
She originally took to Instagram two days before Christmas to share the news that both her and son Max, 13, had tested positive for the virus.
Daughters Dylan-Jorge, seven, and Heidi, 14, meanwhile, have tested negative for the virus, which left DJ “crying” as she couldn’t hug her mum.
Posting a photo of two positive tests to her Instagram story, Kerry wrote: “So my PCR came back inconclusive so I did another lateral flow test. Both me and Max have tested positive! Heidi and DJ negative! Also my mum has tested positive too!”
Kerry added: “Really not sure how to deal with this! DJ is crying because she can’t come near me!”
The reality star then posted a follow up video, where she looked stressed as she tried to figure out what to do in light of the news.
“I”m not sure how this is all gonna work with everyone in the house, trying to look after everybody and the dogs,” she said. “I feel like s**t.”
She added how she was glad she trusted her “gut instinct” to pull out of a pantomime performance, where she’s currently playing the role of Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty at Oldham’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.

“Something said to me not to go to panto and I’m so glad I didn’t go because I would have given everybody else Covid and ruined their Christmas as well. So I’m glad I didn’t go, but I’m gutted. This is not how I wanted to spend Christmas, the same as thousands of other people”.
