Remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? It’s making a comeback – this time for adults!
The original series ran on Nickelodeon for three seasons from 1993-1995. There was also a TV movie in 2016.
The new series, for Quibi, is a “supersized, reimagined version,” but with “many of the favorite original elements of the show,” such as the Temple Run, the Moat Crossing, and Olmec.
However, instead of children competing, this will be a “grown-up” version of Legends of the Hidden Temple. The set will move from the studio into a jungle with more difficult challenges and bigger prizes on the line.
“Bringing back Legends for Quibi is a dream come true,” Scott A. Stone, executive producer, said in a statement. “I have been so lucky to be part of this defining millennial show, and now there is a defining millennial platform to go with it. I couldn’t be more excited.”
It is not yet known if original host Kirk Fogg will be involved. Nickelodeon and Stone & Company (a co-creator of the original series) are executive producing.
Quibi will launch in April!
