Love Island host Maya Jama sizzles in bikini snap as she prepares to jet off to South Africa

Presenter Maya Jama has sent hearts aflutter with her latest Instagram post, as she prepares for the latest series of Love Island.

The 28 year old will be replacing Laura Whitmore in the new series, which will air early next year.

Last August, Laura announced she would be leaving the series, which is narrated by her husband Iain Stirling, and recently admitted that she found "elements" of the series' format "very difficult".

Whilst fans were sad to see Laura step down, many are excited for Maya’s debut and have welcomed her to the franchise.

She will join the winter edition of the show, which will see a new set of singletons battle it for each other’s hearts in South Africa.

The new series will even feature gladiator-style sports days in a villa which features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a rugby pitch and zip wires.

Speaking about her new appointment after the announcement in October, Maya said: 'I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the Villa to meet all of the Islanders.'"

And it seems as though Maya is already in the Summer mood, too, having posted a sensational bikini snap to her Instagram feed earlier today.

The star looked stunning in a slinky bikini with her hair slicked back behind her ears after having clearly just gone for a swim.

"Never posted this but it's cute," she wrote alongside the picture.

Maya has been intensely preparing for the new series and has shared several Instagram stories from her personal trainer, who has been keeping her fans up to date on her progress.

In one set of pics, the trainer cheekily captioned the pics: "I GOT A MESSAGE. Love Island, your new host is in shape and ready."

When Maya's new appointment was revealed, Laura Whitmore announced she was starring in West End show 2:22 A Ghost Story. She has since spoken out about her reasons behind the move.

Speaking to Psychologies magazine, she said: "There was only so much I can do as a host – I couldn’t support them or not support them. I couldn’t say anything.

"So you kind of have to go quiet, and that was hard for me because I like to be able to have those conversations.

"If I could [have done] things the way I wanted to, I’d probably still be doing it. "
