It’s probably no surprise that Piers Morgan isn’t backing down on his views about Meghan Markle, admitting he still ‘doesn’t believe’ her explosive claims.
The Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah Winfrey in March alongside Prince Harry to explain what pushed them to quit as working senior members of the Royal family.
During the two-hour long chat, Meghan claimed a top Royal made a comment about her son Archie’s skin complexion before he was born, while also revealing that she had considered suicide due to racist abuse and feeling lonely within the establishment.
Piers said on Good Morning Britain at the time that he wasn’t convinced by any of Meghan’s claims and, perhaps unsurprisingly, nothing has changed since.
On Monday, Piers supported the start of Mental Health Awareness Week by tweeting: ‘To mark #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, a quote I’ve always found helpful in tough times.’
The quote from Rocky Balboa read: ‘Going in one more round when you don’t think you can – that’s what makes all the difference in your life.’
It prompted one fan to ask if Piers now ‘believes in mental health’, to which the TV presenter responded: ‘I believe in mental illness, I just don’t believe Meghan Markle. ps Please don’t call me “Bellend” – it’s bad for my mental health.’
