Sam Faiers turns to new BFF for support on girls lunch outing amid Ferne drama

Sam Faiershas been seen in public for the first time sinceFerne McCann’s voice notes, seemingly insulting the formerTOWIEstar, leaked online.

Sam, 31, was photographed outside a restaurant with close pal Sharon Canu and another friend, who appeared to be comforting the mum-of-three, following the leaking of voice notes of former friend Ferne, 32,calling her a “fat c***” and “narcissistic b***h.”

Sharon is the fiancée of ex-footballer Ashley Cole, with whom she shares adorable children Jaxon, four, and Grace, two. She and Sam are said to have become close friends in recent years.

Sharon and Sam could be seen leaving the restaurant to sit outside as they finished their drinks, where they were joined by another friend.

Sam could be seen looking at her phone, and appeared to be calling someone as she finished off her drink.

Sam was dressed casually for the outing, sporting a grey jumper and a pair of leggings. She wore her hair pulled back into a ponytail and donned sunglasses.

Like her pal, Sharon also wore sunglasses, which she wore alongside a black-and-white oversized cardigan.

While Sam had not been seen in public in the days immediately following the emergence of the voice notes, she was said tohave been “incredibly hurt”by Ferne's comments.

A source close to Sam told OK!: "Naturally, Sam is incredibly hurt and upset by these comments especially from someone she considered to be a good friend.

“She’s at a loss as to why Ferne has decided to speak about her in such a derogatory way.”

And as voice notes continue to leak on Instagram, Sam’s sisterBillie Shepherd, 32, has also found herself dragged into the drama.

In a voice note, a woman who appears to be Ferne, can be hearddiscussing Billie's choice of name for her son Arthur, five, noting it's a moniker he shares with Ferne's jailed ex-boyfriend, Arthur Collins.

The father of Ferne's four year old daughter Sunday is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty of carrying out an acid attack in 2017. The attack happened in April of that year, one month after Billie's son was born.

In the voice note, the woman can be heard saying: “It feels so weird saying 'Arthur'.

“I can't believe…it's like me having a little boy and calling him 'Greg' [the name of Billie's husband]… anyway, whatever.”

While none of the trio have addressed the voice notes, following the release of the first voice message, Sam and Billie’s mother, Suzie Wells, took to Instagram accusing Ferne of launching a “vile attack” against her daughter.

She wrote: “This has come as a complete shock to myself and my family.

“Ferne has always been a very close family member to all of us over the past 20 years. It appears the voice note was sent just weeks after Samantha gave birth back in May.”

Suzie went on: “Since the voice note has surfaced more have been sent – very upsetting nasty things. We are as shocked as you are! Nobody should ever speak about their friends like this ever! My girls are my absolute everything and I'll do anything to protect them.”

“I don't have anything else to say on the matter,” the mum-of-two concluded.
