Love can make you do some crazy things… like get things tattooed on your body! And some of our favorite stars are no exception, as many have chosen to get inked with their current or former lover’s name, their wedding date, a special significant-other phrase and more. has put together a list of some of the most infamous celebrity love tattoos, starting with Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie. The superstar got second hubby Billy Bob Thornton’s name tattooed on her arm during their marriage in the early 2000s. Angie later had the ink removed following their divorce. Marco Perego is so in love with wife Zoe Saldana that he inked her entire face on his arm! The Italian artist debuted the tattoo in November 2013, five months after he and Zoe secretly wed.

After just a few months of dating, in July 2017, Paris Hilton’s future ex-fiancé, “Leftovers” actor Chris Zylka, got her first name inked on his arm in a classic Disney font. “Such a lucky girl! My love surprised me & got my name tattooed in #Disney font. And said cause I’m his most magical place on Earth & he finally found his fairytale princess. #BoyfriendGoals #ParisForever,” Paris wrote on Instagram. The couple — seen here shortly after they got engaged in 2018 — ended up splitting later that same year.

Rapper Big Sean and singer Jhene Aiko made it permanent when Jhene tattooed his face on the back of her left arm in October 2017. And in a strange turn of events, the relationship lasted longer than the tattoo! Jhene had the ink covered up a little over a year later: In November 2018, she was spotted with a dragon covering her upper arm and back over where his face used to be. They reportedly split a month later, only to reunite in December 2019. As of July 2021, they were still together.

“The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco had her wedding date inked in Roman numerals on the back of her neck in 2014 after she married tennis pro Ryan Sweeting. Their union was short-lived, however, and Kaley covered the tattoo with an image of a moth following their divorce in 2016. “It was big enough to cover the numbers. Big wings,” she explained to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in February 2016. “It’s just what I picked out when I was there.” That union spawned another tattoo as well…

Kaley Cuoco’s ex-husband, Ryan Sweeting, tattooed the actress’s name on his arm back in 2013 — it’s seen here partially obscured by his watch. The pair, who got married after dating for only a few months, split in 2015.

Supermodel Heidi Klum had former hubby Seal’s name tattooed on her forearm along with a star to mark each wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, their love didn’t last: Heidi filed for divorce in April 2012 after almost seven years of marriage.

Nick Cannon commemorated his whirlwind romance with Mariah Carey by getting a huge “Mariah” tattoo on his back in 2008 right before their wedding. After the couple separated in 2014, Nick covered the ink with a full back tattoo of Jesus on the cross.

Eva Longoria got her wedding date tattooed on her wrist after marrying NBA player Tony Parker, her second husband, back in 2007. The couple split in 2011 following reports that Tony cheated with a former teammate’s wife, but during an appearance on “The Joy Behar Show,” Eva said she didn’t regret the tattoo. “I like it… I’ll just [add] the divorce date and it’ll be like a gravestone!” she quipped.

Superstar couple David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, who’ve been together since the 1990s, have quite a collection of tattoos — and the former footballer has plenty of ink related to their relationship journey. You can see at least one of them here: David got his wife’s name inked on his right hand in an elegant script font alongside a hummingbird in honor of their 14th wedding anniversary in 2013.

Actress Melanie Griffith had former husband Antonio Banderas’s first name tattooed in a heart on her arm in the late ’90s during the early years of their relationship. The “Working Girl” actress had the large ink removed completely when the couple separated in 2014 after nearly 20 years together.

Carey Hart honored his wife, Pink, with a Day of the Dead-inspired tattoo of the singer’s face on his right leg in 2009. The couple married in 2006, briefly split, reconciled and now have two kids.

Model Amber Rose tattooed former husband Wiz Khalifa’s face on her arm after the birth of their son, Sebastian, in February 2013. She shared a photo of the ink on social media with the caption “True Love Cam & Amb.” Their love wasn’t meant to last, however: They divorced in 2015.

Megan Fox and ex Brian Austin Green honored their 2010 marriage with tattoos. The actress had her husband’s name inked on her lower stomach and Brian had Megan’s name tattooed over his heart. Megan filed for divorce in 2015, only to reconcile and have a third child with Brian in 2016, but in 2020, she filed for divorce again.

Beyonce and her husband, rapper and music mogul JAY-Z, honored their marriage by getting matching tattoos of the Roman numeral “IV” on their ring fingers in 2008. The number holds special significance for the superstar couple. Beyonce’s birthday is Sept. 4, Jay’s birthday is Dec. 4 and the two tied the knot on April 4, 2008.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan honored their marriage with matching tattoos while on their 2009 honeymoon in Bali. The “Step Up” actress got “Side By Side” inked on the top of her foot while her hubby got the same tat on his side. They split in 2018 after eight years of marriage.

Johnny Depp was engaged to actress Winona Ryder in the 1990s. Their highly publicized love affair included a “Winona Forever” banner tattoo on Johnny’s upper arm that he infamously had changed into “Wino Forever” following their 1993 split.


Katy Perry and former hubby Russell Brand got matching tattoos inked on their arms that read “Anuugacchati Pravaha” — a Sanskrit phrase that means “go with the flow.” Russell famously asked for a divorce via text message after 14 months of marriage in December 2011.

Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian got first husband Lamar Odom’s initial tattooed on her hand in October 2009 just a month after they wed. The former NBA player also got Khloe’s initial tattooed on his hand — but their love did not last. The couple split in 2013 and finalized their divorce in 2016.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum Rob Kardashian celebrated his love with then-girlfriend Adrienne Bailon by getting her name inked on his side in 2007. The singer and “The Real” host returned the favor by getting Rob’s name tattooed on her behind. Adrienne shared on her talk show that she had the tattoo removed after their breakup in 2009.

J.Lo’s suitors have always doted on her, and her third ex-husband, Marc Anthony, is no exception. The salsa singer got “Jennifer” tattooed on his wrist in honor of then-wife Jennifer Lopez but had the ink covered up after they split in 2011.

Courteney Cox found love again with Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid following her divorce from David Arquette. The rocker is so enamored of his partner that he got Courteney’s initials tattooed on his wrist in September 2016.
