Todd Rundgren, Micky Dolenz, and Christopher Cross have teamed up to embark on a tour, called “It Was 50 Years Ago Today,” to celebrate the Beatles‘ White Album, which was released 51 years ago.
The trio will be joined by Chicago‘s Jason Scheff and Badfinger guitarist Joey Molland. In addition to songs from White Album, the stars will perform some of their own hits.
Although the tour is “not affiliated or endorsed by the Beatles individually or collectively,” as the tour poster points out, the artists have Beatle connections, having been associated with the band at some point.
The tour, which is scheduled to begin September 21 with a show at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, New Jersey, will conclude on October 20, with a concert at Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.
