Zac Brown Drops F-Bomb In CMT Music Awards Acceptance Speech

Zac Brown Band frontman Zac Brown told young and upcoming artists to have the courage to stand up against the machine, be yourself and work hard so that “one day you can stand up here and tell all the haters to f**k off.”

Brown was delivering a spirited acceptance speech after receiving the Group Video of the Year award for their music video “Someone I Used to Know” at the 2019 CMT Music Awards.

“No one has ever owned enough of our career to give us their trophies and accolades but that’s not how we measure our success. The award is for all of you; my band, outsiders who waited through everyone’s doubts,” he told the audience.

The country music band’s upcoming 2019 The Owl Tour will kick off on June 7, and will include tracks from their forthcoming album.
