Shoppers racing to buy New Look jumper that's a dupe for The White Company and £80 cheaper | The Sun

FASHION fans are raving about a knitted jumper from New Look as they’re convinced it's a dupe for The White Company.

The high-street retailer’s Knit Crew Neck Jumper costs £19.99 – a far cry from The White Company’s cashmere numbers which cost as much as £349.

“A staple in your new season wardrobe, this knit jumper is perfect for when the temps drop,” New Look bosses said.

“We love it worn with a midi skirt and chunky boots for an effortless autumn-ready style.”

The jumper is made from acrylic, recycled polyester and elastane and is said to have a “soft knit feel” that isn’t “scratchy” against the skin.

It is available in nine muted colours.

A number of shoppers recommend “going up a size” for a cosy fit.

“Great value for money, a similar jumper in The White Company retails for £98,” one buyer reviewed.

“This jumper isn't a cashmere blend but I can easily achieve the same look for a quarter of the price.

“Really soft and well made sweater, beautiful colour and great fit,” another fashionista echoed.

“Looks like a much more expensive brand.”

By comparison, The White Company’s Brushed Cashmere Crew Neck Jumper will set you back £198, while a colourblock variation costs £98.

“This is honestly the best simple white jumper I've ever purchased,” another New Look shopper said.

“It's so comfortable and not itchy in the slightest. Smart looking for smart-casual work wear but also cute enough and cosy for casual wear.

“Can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this in autumn. It fits so well.

“I honestly love this so much! More than I was expecting for a simple item.”

New Look, which has 400 locations in the UK, has closed a number of its branches in recent weeks.

It shut six branches in January and February this year too.
