Mum, DJ and Presenter Ashley James has teamed up with supermarket brand Tu at Sainsburys on a new '9 Months In, 9 Months Out Edit' edit which aims support expectant mums through their pregnancy and afterwards.
After giving birth to her son, Alfie, at the start of the year, the 34-year-old opened up on her journey via her social media accounts and received a lot of support from her fans.
As a result of these conversations, Ashley started working with Tu which triggered the brand to conduct some research with pregnant women and mums which has revealed that 86% of women want to share the unfiltered reality of motherhood.
Speaking about the findings, Ashley said how "It’s no surprise that what women want is to see honest and real versions of pregnancy and motherhood without the filter."
"I found it so refreshing to see and hear first-hand experiences that talked about the highs but didn’t shy away from the lows and the challenges."
"As a result, I want to share and pass on advice and tips from my own experience. A lot happens in 9 months, both in and out! I get so many positive comments and questions every time I do, from questions on feeding, to body confidence."
Ashely also opened up on how "Everyone and their dog will want to offer you advice."
"Just focus on doing what works best for you and your little one. Read books if it helps you, or don’t if it doesn’t."
"The main focus is you so be kind to yourself and try to stay in the present – the calmer and happier you are, the better it is for your baby."
She also went on to share tips such as "New bras are expensive. If I can give you any advice, it would be to go and get measured. And then get some comfy non wired bras that will grow with you!"
"Hold off buying nursing lingerie until you’re nearing the end of pregnancy, as your boobs will change again when your milk comes in and you don’t want to be left with nursing bras in the wrong size."
"Your body is changing and that’s okay. You’ve just given birth, your body is evolving, and has gone through a lot, so don’t beat yourself up if those old jeans don’t fit, don’t be afraid to buy the right size for you now, you will feel better!"
