Denise Van Outen has shared a glimpse inside her idyllic staycation with her partner Eddie Boxshall and close friend Lydia Bright.

The 47 year old, who recently said no to I’m A Celebrity in Wales but yes to when it returns to Oz, shared a collection of snaps to her 574,000 Instagram followers of her sweet seaside break to West Mersea in Essex.

Denise and her partner Eddie posed outside a pretty pink beach hut which was named Betsy in a nod to Denise's 11 year old daughter from her marriage to actor Lee Mead.

The group enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in the beach hut followed by a fresh seafood platter as the friends soaked up the sunshine.

Meanwhile former TOWIE star Lydia, 30, looked every inch the beach beauty in a black maxi dress and sunglasses as she posed outside the beach hut.

The ex-reality star was also accompanied by her adorable one year old daughter Loretta who looked very content as she tucked into the seafood platter.

Lydia penned: "Happiest at the caravan, happiest eating ice cream. Got dressed up for a seafood and champagne day in a beach hut with friends."

The beauty also shared a heartwarming post alongside a picture with her little girl on the seafront, which read: "This may sound a little hippy and spiritual but I am going to say it anyway.

"We visited Mersea Island last year in between lockdowns and I fell in love. It felt so peaceful and happy. A few weeks later I had reiki.

"During my session I kept visualising reiki. During my session I kept visualising me and Loretta on the beach it was a sign.

"Fast-forward to now I have a caravan with a view of this exact spot and I am loving our little adventures. I just wanted to write this to highlight, don't dream your life, live your dreams."

The staycation comes after Denise spoke out earlier this year about the injury she inflicted on her time on Dancing on Ice and on her recovery after partially dislocating her shoulder while also sustaining three bone fractures.

The injury left her in "excruciating pain" and the recovery process meant she had to do physiotherapy exercises in between wearing a sling for support.
