  • Man Utd XI: Grant, Laird, Bernard, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Garner, Levitt, Chong, Lingard, Gomes, Greenwood.
  • Astana XI: Eric, Rukavina, Rotariu, Sigurjonsson, Beysebekov, Maevski, Logvinenko, Postnikov, Murtazayev, Shomko, Khiznichenko.

And there goes the whistle, it's been a comfortable opening 45 minutes for the visitors who are totally in control of the game.

It's been easy for the United teenagers at times, with Astana often chasing shadows.

But despite the young side, it was old guard Jesse Lingard who netted the opener after ten minutes.

Solskajer will be pleased with what he's seen so far, but knows his side have to get a second to kill off the game.

    45: Chance!

Murtazaev blazes his half volley over the bar from 18 yards out.

The Astana strikers are feeding off scraps.

43: Once again United are firmly on top now.

They're not even out of second gear, sometimes it seems as though they think it's too easy for them.

It's so easy for the likes of Garner and Levitt to move out the pocket in the middle of the pitch.

There will be just ONE minute of added time.

40: Sigurjonsson is shown a yellow card for his challenge on Lingard.

Lingard is lucky he's been able to continue.

    That was a nasty tackle.

And Solskjaer is adamant it should have been red.

    38: Close!

Greenwood does well to hold off his man before unleashing a low strike at goal which is saved well.

Lingard meanwhile is down in agony on the floor after being tackled late.

The ex-Brighton loanee is back on his feet and is gingerly trotting on.
