JESSE LINGARD is set to leave Manchester United on a free and Juventus and AC Milan are favourites to sign him, according to reports.
Lingard, 29, may have played his last game at Old Trafford when left on the bench in Monday night's 3-0 victory over Brentford.
The winger was dropped from the squad entirely against Chelsea last week after supposedly calling the dressing room a "disaster".
Red Devils legend Paul Scholes let slip that Lingard told him about the sorry state of affairs behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
It has paved the way for a sad farewell for the lifelong United fan.
ESPN report that the two Italian giants have both "registered their interest" in Lingard.

Juventus and table toppers AC Milan are "leading the chase" to land the England international.
It would end a 20-year career at the North West club with 232 senior appearances.
Lingard has barely featured under Rangnick after falling out of favour while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge.
He went out on loan to West Ham last season where he scored nine goals and bagged five assists in just 16 appearances for the Hammers.

But since returning to United he has barely featured and is now set to leave in the summer for a trip to mainland Europe.
Lingard was snapped in Milan with Bayern Munich ace Serge Gnabry back in April.
Lingard's brother Louis Scott slammed United for failing to give his sibling a proper farewell after the Brentford game.
He posted on Instagram: "20 years of blood sweat and tears, four domestic trophies, three cup final goals, not even a farewell.
"No wonder it's Conference League next year."
Meanwhile, the Red Devils have reportedly offered Inter £42million and Anthony Martial in exchange for star striker Lautaro Martinez.
A player-plus-cash deal is believed to have been put on the table to back new manager Erik ten Hag in the transfer market – but this bid has reportedly been turned down.
