    CROWN JULES

Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is reportedly snubbing Tottenham’s advances in the hope of securing a move to a Champions League club.

Marca claim that the French ace is keen on a move to Manchester United with the Old Trafford side set to battle for Europe’s top club prize next season.

And Football journalist Fabrizio Romano admitted that the Red Devils could be set to join the race for the defender’s signature with the club looking to strengthen their defensive options.

Romano told the Here We Go Podcast: “We need to keep an eye on Manchester United for Kounde.

“It’s true they want Varane but Kounde has always been on the list. The situation is open.”

    OH CAM ON

Eduardo Camavinga is set to snub Premier League interest in favour of LaLiga, according to reports.

The Rennes wonderkid has drawn admiration from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

But according to The Telegraph, Camavinga has his 'heart set' on a move to Spain.

Neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona are well placed to make a bid for the 18-year-old, given their financial woes.

But both are expected to be better placed next summer – when Camavinga's contract at Rennes expires.

Man Utd and the Gunners have been asked to be kept in the loop regarding the midfielder's transfer status this summer.

Camavinga could see out the remaining year of his contract at Rennes

    GOING BARC

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are in advanced talks to swap Antoine Griezmann and Saul Niguez, according to reports.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone is still fond of the French forward, who starred for Atleti between 2014 and 2019.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona and Atletico are now in advanced talks, although the former want money included as well as Saul.

The midfielder played with Griezmann at Atleti, but wants a new challenge.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have all registered their interest, but could be gazumped by Barca's willingness to let Griezmann go.

According to Marca, however, the deal could still fall down over Griezmann's wage demands, which Atletico may struggle to match.

    MAG-ICAL BOSS

Harry Maguire has revealed his relief that Gareth Southgate will lead England into the World Cup next year.

The Three Lions manager is contracted until after the 2022 tournament in Qatar and the FA wants to extend the deal.

The Manchester United captain said: “It is good that everything is settled. You don’t want anything hanging over the team.

“He has done an amazing job from when he first took over. We spoke about how we wanted to be recognised as the best team. So to reach the final of Euro 2020 is a great achievement but we now have to take the next step and be convincing in these big games and these big moments.

“I think Gareth has done an amazing job and deserves the credit and deserves another opportunity.”

Southgate has been manager since 2016 but said: “I did not want to outstay my welcome” in terms of agreeing a longer contract.

    RAPHA THE RED

Man Utd have received a huge boost in their bid to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, according to reports.

Los Blancos' wage bill is reportedly set to be slashed by more than a third which has thrown massive doubt over the Frenchman's future at the club.

The financial impact of Covid-19 has hit the Spanish giants hard.

That and a huge stadium rebuild have left Real with mounting debt – and they have not paid a fee for a player for almost two years.

And as a result their LaLiga wage cap will be reduced from £403million to £255m next season, according to the Athletic.

That has seen Varane, Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale all have their futures thrown up in the air.

    RON HIS WAY BACK

Juventus have insisted Cristiano Ronaldo has given no indication he wants to leave and that they expect him back for training this month.

The 36-year-old Portuguese legend only has a year left on his contract in Italy and faces an uncertain future at Juve with Man Utd and Paris Saint-Germain believed to be keen to secure his services.

However, Juventus director Pavel Nedved is adamant that the icon has not asked to quit the club a year early.

And he expects him back in Turin after the superstar has finished holidaying following his exploits at Euro 2020 that saw him secure the golden boot at the tournament.

Nedved said: “Cristiano is on holiday. We have no signal from his entourage that he wants to leave.

“We’re waiting for him and he will return around 25 July as scheduled.”

    TAKING THE NIC

Manchester United will NOT be signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicola Barella this summer.

That is according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who has also stated Liverpool are interested in the Euro 2020 winner.

He tweeted: "There’s nothing going on between Manchester United or Liverpool with Inter to sign Nicolo Barella.

"He’s not for sale this summer – Inter consider Barella ‘untouchable’ despite rumours.

The club have the same position also on Romelu Lukaku as of today."

    ON THE PAUL

Paul Pogba is reportedly said to be 'thrilled' at the prospect of joining Paris Saint-Germain from Man Utd.

The French midfielder has just a year left to run on his deal at Old Trafford leading to fears he could be sold this summer.

United are understood to be keen to tie him down to a new contract, but it remains to be seen whether Pogba will commit his long-term future to the Red Devils.

PSG are believed to be keeping tabs on his situation, with a move to the Ligue 1 giants exciting the World Cup winner.

According to RMC Sport journalist, Loic Tanzi, the ex-Juventus man favours a switch to Les Parisiens.

Replying to a fan for news on Pogba, he tweeted: "The player is thrilled by the idea of coming to PSG but will never go to clash with Manchester United."

    DEVIL DELIGHT

Manchester United's deal to prise Raphael Varane away from Real Madrid is claimed to be a 'formality'.

The Red Devils are in deep negotiations with Los Blancos to bring the French centre-back to Old Trafford.

And according to Spanish radio show El Transistor on Onda Cero, the transfer is said to be as good as done.

Personal terms are not an issue between United and Varane, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate for him to partner Harry Maguire.

The 2018 World Cup winner is in the final year of his contract in Spain and is understood to be keen for a new challenge.

    DON'T TRIP UP

Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier is 'open' to joining Man Utd this summer, reports say.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the market for a new right-back to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

And according to the Telegraph, the England international is desperate to return to the Premier League after two years in Spain.

United have already had one bid rejected for Trippier, with Atletico holding out for £30million.

Two other English sides remain keen to sign Trippier, but the player's preference is to link up with United.

    MORNING, UNITED FANS

There's contrasting news about Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho as United appear to be losing out to Chelsea for dream signing Erling Haaland.

It's claimed France centre-back Varane is very happy with the terms United might offer him – but are reportedly £20million short of Real Madrid's £60m valuation.

Varane is in the final year of his deal, so could be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a non-Spanish team in January.

As for Sancho, United are tipped to complete a £73m move within days.

Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde is thought to have snubbed Tottenham as he is keener on United.

PSG have confirmed the free transfer signing of AC Milan's Italy keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was linked with United and Chelsea.

And United can expect competition from Spurs over idefender Cristian Romero, who is halfway through a two-year loan at Atalanta from Juventus.

The Argentina star, 23, is rated at £39m fee, with add-ons taking it up to £51m.

    PSG'S RUMM DEAL

PSG have confirmed the signing of Italy keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, on a free transfer from AC Milan.

The Euro 2020 player of the tournament has penned a five-year contract with the French giants, who were deposed as Ligue 1 champs by Lille.

The deal ends Donnarumma’s six years as Milan’s No1 stopper.

The 22-year-old was just 16 when he made his San Siro debut.

Donnarumma went on to play 251 times for Milan, winning the 2016 Italian Super Cup.

But he will now line up alongside superstars including Neymar and Kylian Mbappe after opting to play for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Donnarumma said: “I am delighted to be part of this huge club.

“I feel ready to take on this new challenge and continue to grow here.

“With Paris, I want to win as much as possible and to bring joy to the supporters.”

    SANCHO 'DEAL CONFIRMATION WITHIN DAYS'

Jadon Sancho's £73million arrival from Borussia Dortmund should be confirmed by Manchester United within days, reports suggest.

The England wideman has already agreed personal terms and completed a medical on Tuesday

It's thought he will formally complete his move by early next week at the latest as he recovers from the disappointment of missing a shootout penalty in England's Euro 2020 final defeat against Italy.

UTD 'WAY OFF REAL'S VARANE VALUATION'

Raphael Varane is 'very happy' with terms Manchester United are offering but Real Madrid want £20million MORE for their France defender.

That's the claim from talkSPORT as Real eye £60m for the 28-year-old, compared to the £40m United have so far reportedly been willing to pay.

Varane is in the final year of his deal, so could be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a non-Spanish team in January.

United were also linked with Real legend Sergio Ramos, 35, who instead joined PSG.

    RASHFORD BACKING STILL SURGING

Manchester United and the city's fans are re leading the groundswell of support for Marcus Rashford.

The United and England striker faces racist abuse online after England's Euro 2020 final shootout defeat against Italy, as did fellow penalty-missers Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.

The Old Trafford media team have stayed on top of all the online messages swarming in with encouragement for the child poverty campaigner, who has also fought against injustice such as racism.

BLUES READY TO MEET HAALAND PRICE

Chelsea are prepared to meet Borussia Dortmund's asking price for Erling Haaland, according to reports.

The Bundesliga side will reportedly accept an offer of £150million for the in-demand striker.

And Blues' owner Roman Abramovich, who is determined to land the striker, is ready to make the necessary funds available, report German outlet Bild.

The deal would break the British transfer record, and naturally Chelsea may need to offload some players to secure the move.

Tammy Abraham has been linked with a move to West Ham this summer after falling out of Thomas Tuchel's plans last season.

He is one of several first-team players who could depart, along with Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Ziyech only joined the club last year and has scored six goals in 39 games for The Blues.

The highly-rated Hudson-Odoi has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, and Chelsea could now cash in.

And according to Bild, the sale of that trio could raise around £90m, meaning Abramovich would only need to find £60m to finalise the Haaland transfer.

    ERLI BIRD

Erling Haaland kicked off his pre-season training with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday amid talk of Chelsea launching a mega transfer bid for the striker.

The German side welcomed the Norwegian back after joking that he was on his way to England when sitting out an earlier fitness test.

A video of his dribbling and control session was posted online before Haaland shared a thumbs-up photo to his Instagram.

He captioned the shot: "Day one✔️ Ready for the journey 💪🏻."

The 20-year-old is reportedly strongly fancied by Premier League side Chelsea for a summer move.

Borussia are intent on keeping Haaland, having already given Jadon Sancho the green light to join Manchester United.

A price tag of £150million has been slapped on the Norway forward ahead of his release clause, thought to be set at £65m, becoming active next summer.

Reports in Germany suggest Roman Abramovich is personally driving Chelsea's bid for Haaland.

    SANCHO: HATE WON'T WIN

Jadon Sancho has bravely spoken out after suffering racist abuse but the England star insisted: 'Hate will never win'.

Afterwards, the courageous trio were subjected to vile racist abuse, which left Sancho saddened.

But the winger vowed to bounce back better than ever as he thanked fans for their support and positivity.

Sancho, 21, posted: "I’m not going pretend that I didn’t see the racial abuse that me and my brothers Marcus and Bukayo received after the game, but sadly it's nothing new.

"As a society we need to do better, and hold these people accountable.
    Hate will never win.

"To all the young people who have received similar abuse, hold your heads up high and keep chasing the dream."

"I am proud of this England team and how we have united the whole nation in what has been a difficult 18 months for so many people."

    GUNNAR TRAINING

Manchester United players not involved at Euro 2020 have been training ahead of Sunday’s pre-season clash with Derby.

And a number are out to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they look to secure a place in his first-team squad this term.

The Red Devils saw a large number of stars compete at this summer’s tournament, including Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba.

Solskjaer’s Euro stars are now having a well-deserved rest as the new season kicks into gear.

And that has paved the way for fringe players and youngsters to share the stage with first-team aces who have already had their holiday.

Old Trafford aces including Mason Greenwood, Alex Telles and Juan Mata were all seen practising at United’s training ground.

Other familiar faces such as Nemanja Matic, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Dean Henderson and Axel Tuanzebe were also present.

The regulars were joined by players returning from loan spells, including Andreas Pereira, Tahith Chong and Di'shon Bernard, as well as new goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

Meanwhile, there were also opportunities for academy graduates such as Joe Hugill, Ethan Galbraith, Anthony Elanga, Will Fish, Teden Mengi, Matej Kovar, Nathan Bishop and Shola Shoretire.

And each player will now be desperate to start when United travel to Pride Park on Sunday for a friendly against Old Trafford legend Wayne Rooney's Rams.

PUT YOUR HOUSE ON VARANE DEAL?

Real Madrid superstar Raphael Varane is allegedly already house hunting in Manchester as United look to recruit the France centre-back.

The Red Devils continue to work on a sensational deal to sign the highly-decorated star this summer transfer window.

Now Diario AS claims he has already begun house hunting in the North West.

    UTD BOOST OVER KOUNDE

Jules Kounde is reportedly snubbing Tottenham’s advances in the hope of securing a move to a Champions League club.

Marca claim that the Sevilla ace is keen on a move to Manchester United with the Old Trafford side set to battle for Europe’s top club prize next season.

    GOLDEN OLDIE

    SOUR GRAPES

United legend Roy Keane criticised Jack Grealish for not taking a penalty in the Euro 2020 final because of 'sour grapes' over his Republic of Ireland switch, Trevor Sinclair has declared.

He told TalkSport: “As we all know, Roy Keane has got an opinion. But you can’t just accept that knowing it’s not the truth.

“Roy Keane’s not privileged, we are not privileged at talkSPORT to know what was going on in those meetings when we’re talking about penalties.

“I believe Jack. I don’t think he’s a shrinking violet. He’s a player who steps up to the plate. When you want to make a name for yourself, that's when you step up.

“I think with Roy Keane, with the fact Jack Grealish left the Irish squad, went to the England squad, I think there’s a little bit of sour grapes there personally.”

  • Joe Brophy

    WILL HE GO?

Brandon Williams' loan move to Southampton has hit the skids – because of the size of the loan fee.

Manchester United are understood to be looking for more than £2million to let another club borrow the versatile full-back.

Saints have been keen on the 20-year-old since last summer but see that price as too rich for their blood.

It means a deal is looking increasingly unlikely unless United reduce their demands.

That is despite Williams himself being keen to join as he is keen to play regular games, having started just TWO Premier League games last season.

It is believed he would still want to quit Old Trafford temporarily even if Alex Telles joins Jose Mourinho at Roma.
