Cameron Douglas is all too familiar with addiction.

His uncle, Eric Douglas, passed away in 2004 at age 46 from a drug overdose. Years later, Cameron also found himself heading down a path of self-destruction.

The son of Michael Douglas and grandson of Kirk Douglas has penned a memoir titled “Long Way Home,” which details his personal struggles and recovery.

“The ups and downs of drug addiction are entirely predictable… There’s a comfort in that,” the 40-year-old wrote in his book, which was excerpted by People magazine.

“[Drugs] were, for me, a path out of loneliness,” added Douglas.

According to the outlet, Cameron Douglas started drinking and smoking marijuana as a teenager before he developed a full-blown addiction to cocaine and heroin.

Douglas shared that growing up as an only child to a very young mother and a famous father, who was often away, became increasingly difficult.

“I was maybe trying to make sense of things … and trying to figure out where I fit in,” Douglas told People. “Then there were the awkward [teen] years and for whatever reason, I started drifting towards kids who were smoking, drinking and [other] things and I tied that in with friendship … and then it just kept going from there.”

By his 20s, Douglas was dealing methamphetamine to support his habit, the outlet revealed. Douglas’ addiction became so severe he was using cocaine daily and endured drug-induced seizures

“I hated the wreckage I saw in my life because of drugs, but I just couldn’t stop,” explained Douglas. “It’s the sneaky power, the stranglehold that addiction has when you’re in the throes of it,” he said. “When you get that far down the rabbit hole, there are a couple options: there’s prison and then there’s death.”

In 2009, a DEA sting operation landed Douglas behind bars and he received a five-year prison term for conspiracy to distribute meth and cocaine. His sentence was extended by another five years after he was found with drugs while incarcerated.

“Something inside of me broke,” he said.

It was during his time in prison that Douglas finally got sober and began thinking about his future

“For a long time I quite honestly thought I just wasn’t put together properly, that I didn’t have the characteristics necessary for real success in life,” said Douglas. “I know now that was the addiction talking.”

Douglas spent nearly eight years in prison before being released in 2016.

Today, Douglas is a proud father to daughter Lua, 1, whom he shares with longtime girlfriend Viviane Thiebes, 41. Douglas is also pursuing the family business and embarking on an acting career.

Douglas said he feels “deep gratitude” that his family never gave up on him. Now, he hopes his story will inspire other addicts to “seek help — and maybe save a life.”

Michael, 75, previously admitted to People that he and Douglas’ mother, model and producer Diandra Luker, 63, believed their son would ultimately succumb to his demons.

“There were moments when hope dwindled … and then it’s just a train out of the station,” Michael confessed. “Life became a series of crises. I thought I was going to lose him.”

Tyler Cameron Spends Time With Gigi Hadid's Former Stepsisters Amid Reported Split

Sources say that Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid have called it quits, but no one knows exactly why.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Cameron and Hadid were over, and a source told Us Weekly: “Tyler is single. He and Gigi Hadid are no longer together.”

If that doesn’t convince you, on October 1 Cameron teased on Watch What Happens With Andy Cohen that he “may be single.”

‘Bachelor’ alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon weigh in on Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid’s split

“It burned hot and burned out fast. I want to know what happened to make it break off so soon after the funeral. It’s just such a big moment,” Ashley Iaconetti told ET, referring to Cameron accompanying Hadid to her grandmother’s funeral in The Netherlands last month.

Iaconetti’s husband, Jared Haibon, recently told Us Weekly that he’s not surprised more and more “real” celebrities are dipping into the reality TV dating pool. Maybe Cameron’s next romance will be with another A-lister.

“I think everybody at the end of the day is just a person,” said Haibon. “Whether you’re from Bachelor Nation and you’re viewed as a D-list celebrity or if you’re an A-list celebrity starring in movies, love is just love. I don’t think it’s this idea of different worlds crossing over. If somebody has a chemistry and connection, then they’re going to date, no matter who you are.”

Tyler Cameron took photos with and was chatting up Gigi Hadid’s former stepsisters at a recent event

Just because Cameron and Hadid have allegedly parted ways doesn’t mean Cameron’s going to become suddenly cold to Hadid’s family.

Cameron was at a La Mer event in New York City last week along with Hadid’s former stepsisters, Erin Foster and Sara Foster.

He definitely didn’t shy away from his former flame’s kin. In fact, he chatted with the sisters and even posted a photo of the three of them on his Instagram.

“Had a great time at the @lamer event with my younger sisters… now I got some moisturizer for this crusty face of mine,” he captioned the photos he posted.

Erin commented on the photo: “I didn’t approve this pic. But I look great so I’ll allow it.”

“Family is everything,” commented Sara.

Erin also shared a post from the event. She captioned it, “Sara’s a big fan of their anti-aging serum.”

Sara responded: “You should try it so people will stop asking if I’m the younger sister.”

Cameron got in on the action, commenting: “@sarafoster love this clasp back.”

So how exactly are Hadid and the Fosters related? Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, was married to Erin and Sara’s father, David Foster, between 2011 and 2017. Fans might recall them from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Recently, in June, David married Katherin McPhee.

David Cameron warns Boris over Tory election win if Brexit is delayed

David Cameron warns Boris Johnson the Tories might not win the next election amid Brexit confusion as he tells the PM ‘you can’t disobey the law’ to override the Remainer Benn Act blocking No Deal

  • Cameron said he did not know if the Tories would win after another delay
  • But he also warned PM that he must comply with the anti-No Deal Benn Act
  • Added: ‘Boris is compromising and I suspect may have to move a bit more’

Delaying Brexit again could cost Boris Johnson the next general election, former prime minister David Cameron has warned.

The ex-Tory leader, who quit after leading the failed Remain campaign in 2016, said he did not know if his successor could remain in power if the UK does not leave the EU on October 31.

But he also cautioned Mr Johnson that he must comply with the Benn Act, which ties his hands to block a No Deal departure on Halloween, saying ‘you can’t disobey the law as prime minister’.

The 52-year-old  was appearing on stage with Times editor John Witherow at the Barbican centre in London in front of a 2,000-strong audience.

Mr Witherow asked: ‘Do you think if there was a general election, would the Tories win with Corbyn there?’

Mr Cameron said: ‘I just don’t know.

The ex-Tory leader (pictured last night), who quite after leading the failed Remain campaign in 2016, said he did not know if his successor could remain in power if the UK does not leave the EU on October 31

But he also warned Mr Johnson (pictured yesterday) that he must comply with the Benn Act, which ties his hands to block a No deal departure on Halloween, saying ‘you can’t disobey the law as prime minister’

‘I fought an election in 2015 when I was told I was definitely going to lose, and I won. And I fought a referendum and I was told I was definitely going to win, and I lost.

‘Strangely enough, I still look at opinion polls.

‘The trouble with general elections is you’re asking one question, but people may easily go and vote on any number of other questions.

‘I think that’s what happened in 2017.’

Mr Cameron added he backed the current Prime Minister’s attempts to secure a deal with Brussels and take it through the Commons.

He said: ‘The answer I suspect is now compromise on both sides.

‘Boris is compromising and I suspect may have to move a bit more. And the EU should compromise too.’

The pair discussed aspects of Mr Cameron’s book For The Record, extracts of which were recently published in the Times and Sunday Times.

Mr Cameron said he regretted not fighting harder to demand caps on EU immigration, and said German Chancellor Angela Merkel always accused him of wanting ‘extra wurst’ in his attempts to negotiate deals for Britain.

He also revealed that when he was exhausted on board Air Force One, former US president Barack Obama ‘tucked me in’ to his own bed on the aircraft, saying: ‘I bet Roosevelt never did this for Churchill.

Amid increasingly bitter clashes with Brussels, the PM and his Cabinet – including Culture Secretary Nicky Morgan (pictured) – are meeting to consider whether anything can be done to break the deadlock

Boris Johnson was today gathering his forces for an all-out battle with the EU and Remainer MPs as aides admitted Brexit talks are set to break down dramatically this week.

Amid increasingly bitter clashes with Brussels, the PM and his Cabinet are meeting to consider whether anything can be done to break the deadlock.

But furious Downing Street sources have painted a grim picture of the consequences of rejecting the UK’s ‘fair and reasonable’ blueprint.

One has explosively claimed the government will make clear that any EU country supporting a delay to the October 31 Brexit deadline would be engaging in ‘hostile interference’ in British politics.

Any hope of cooperation will be ‘in the toilet’ and the Tories will end all negotiations to fight an election, switching to a policy of leaving the EU immediately with No Deal.

The Tories will win because Parliament and Remainer MPs are ‘as popular as the Clap’.

‘They think now that if there is another delay we will keep coming back with new proposals,’ the source told the Spectator. ‘This won’t happen. We’ll either leave with No Deal on 31 October or there will be an election and then we will leave with No Deal.’

The brutal assault – which former Cabinet minister Amber Rudd claimed came from maverick No10 aide Dominic Cummings – emerged after Mr Johnson’s proposals hit a huge roadblock.

EU politicians have branded them a ‘joke’ and Emmanuel Macron setting a deadline of Friday for the UK to make more concessions.

The prospects of getting a deal for a crunch Brussels summit next week now appear to be close to zero.

Tyler Cameron Reveals How The Boys Would Workout Behind The Scenes Of 'The Bachelorette'–They Got Creative

The Bachelor and Bachelorette aren’t exactly known for showcasing a diverse array of body types. It’s a sure bet at this point that each new cast will be filled with exclusively conventionally hot people with conventionally hot bodies.

But there’s no gym at the Bachelor Mansion, and there’s often nowhere to workout once the contestants start traveling. So what’s a group of fit, hot people to do? They get creative.

Tyler Cameron from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette (Hot Guy Poster Boy) recently revealed in an interview with GQ how he and his fellow contestants stayed in shape during Brown’s season.

“It’s a makeshift, do-what-you-can situation. We’d run around wherever we were. Some hotels had pools, and we’d go and swim. Some guys brought resistance bands, so there was a lot of band work. We even started picking up the sandbags they used for the cameras, and lifted those as weights,” he said.

Why Tyler Cameron got into running before ‘The Bachelorette’

A quick scroll through Cameron’s Instagram and it’s clear the reality star, budding model has always been a fitness fanatic. As Bachelorette fans know, his father became ill before he left for Los Angeles to start filming. His dad’s declining health inspired Cameron to start running with his family.

“My dad got sick shortly before I went on the show, and after he got out of the hospital, I started getting everybody in my family to do these group runs. Every Thursday we’d go out, about five or six of us—I thought it was important to get moving, and I wanted my family to be healthy after seeing what my dad went through,” he told GQ.

Cameron continued: “When I moved to New York, my buddy and I decided to try holding one of these runs in Central Park, just to see how it went. Turnout was crazy—80 or 90 people showed up. So we said, Let’s do this again. A Nike Run coach who got involved challenged me to do the Chicago Marathon. And everybody I talked to told me New York City has the coolest marathon, so I was like, Alright, I’m up for the challenge.”

With a background in football, Cameron has had to adjust his workout routine to adjust to running.

“I’ve had to stay away from the weights and focus more on getting lean. Your body takes a beating from all that running on the pavement, so the lighter I can get, the better. I was 250 pounds when I was playing tight end, and I’m 210 now,” he said.

He says his goal time for his upcoming marathons is “maybe under four hours.”

Tyler Cameron likens his basketball game to LeBron James’

Cameron also told the publication that his favorite form of conditioning is playing basketball with his two men’s league teams.

“I played in high school, and one of my teams is run by a guy I grew up with in Jupiter, Florida. He’s like a big brother, so it’s great to have him here in the city, and to get to play with him. The other team I’m on is guys I played against during intramural basketball at Wake Forest,” he said.

When asked which NBA player he’s comparable to, Cameron said LeBron James.

“I’m a point forward. I bang down low, bring the ball up court, and make the good pass, or I’m scoring.”

His specialty? Rebounds.

“Oh, I’m a banger. I’m down in the paint, rebounding, defending. No one gets rebounds like I do. My nickname in high school was Bam-Bam, because I was just a bruiser,” he said.

Hannah Brown to Tyler Cameron: Bang Gigi Hadid If You Have To … But I’m Gonna Sleep Around, Too!

When Hannah Brown asked Tyler Cameron on a date in the wake of the whole Jed Wyatt debacle, the denizens of Bachelor Nation assumed Brown had found the “happily ever after” ending she had been pursuing since day one.

But that didn’t turn out to be the case …

Sure, Tyler was spotted leaving Hannah’s house early in the morning not long after their first non-televised date, but it seems the contractor/male model is a big believer in the two-night stand.

Because shortly thereafter, he kicked Hannah to the curb for a celeb who shares his passion for runway walking.

Yes, as you may have heard, Tyler appears to be dating fellow model Gigi Hadid these days.

It hasn’t affected his fan-favorite status, as the man really owes nothing to Hannah after she threw him overboard and chose Jed instead.

But while Hannah may be forced to accept Tyler’s decision, she certainly doesn’t have to like it.

And the woman at the helm of the most disastrous season in Bachelorette history made her feelings abundantly clear in a recent interview:

“He has every right to do whatever he wants because we were just, you know, hanging out, seeing where it goes. And I am completely fine with that,” Hannah told Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky-Manno on their Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

“It was a little confusing but, um, he can do whatever he wants to and I know that I can too,” Brown added.

“And I am going to continue going onward and upward and I just think that I’ve made it very clear…I have no shame in saying I had feelings. I totally did.

“I totally still have feelings but, at the same time, I am not tied to any man or tied to Tyler and I’m not going to be.”

Hannah might be semi-cool with Tyler’s promiscuity, but Rachel made it perfectly clear that she believes dude was out of line:

“I guess I find it disrespectful,” Lindsay said.

“It’s kind of like, bro, slow your roll. You’re on Twitter talking about ‘Hannah’s the queen’ and preaching about respect, but then you’re being a little disrespectful by dating [Hadid] in such a public way where you know it’s going to get so much attention,” the host added.

“I think that’s my beef with it.”

“I think that’s my beef with it too,” Hannah concurred, sounding as though she’d just heard that term for the first time.

“And the thing is…we are not dating dating, at all, we hung out, but we also had conversations of both like knowing that there’s still something there. And when you are in the public eye, you do just have to be respectful of each other,” Brown added.

“Yeah, I wish I would’ve got a little bit more than two days. But, you know, it is OK.”

Asked about how Tyler would fare as the next Bachelor, Hannah threw out a backhanded compliment:

“I mean, I think he likes to date around, so maybe he would be a good Bachelor,” she said.

Did she just combine trash-talk with an endorsement?

That’s almost enough to make us forgive her for keeping Luke P. around for the entire freakin’ season.

Cameron Boyce’s mom posts heartfelt message after actor’s death

Libby Boyce posted a touching message about her late son Cameron on Saturday, weeks after the Disney Channel star passed away at the age of 20.

“He is my compass,” Libby captioned a black-and-white image of herself and Cameron, adding a red heart emoji at the end of the Instagram post.

Boyce, who starred in Disney’s “Descendants” franchise, died earlier this month from an epileptic seizure.

“Cameron’s tragic passing was due to a seizure as a result of an ongoing medical condition, and that condition was epilepsy,” a spokesperson for the Boyce family previous told E! News.

A preliminary report from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office noted that Boyce’s death was the result of natural causes.

In the wake of Boyce’s death, the actor’s father, Victor Boyce, recently announced the inception of the Cameron Boyce Foundation.

“Now is the time to make a change. Donate what you can. Encourage your friends and family to do the same. Let’s keep Cameron’s legacy alive and make a positive difference in the World,” Victor posted last week on social media.

The organization, which will honor Boyce’s legacy, will provide “young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world,” per the foundation’s website.
