BBC Breakfast presenters Dan Walker and Louise Minchin were missing from the line up on Monday morning, as they were replaced by hosts Roger Johnson and Sally Nugent.

Journalists Dan, 44, and Louise, 52, usually present the breakfast programme from Monday through to Wednesday, but today broadcasters Roger and Sally stepped in to do the job.

But this isn't the first time Roger or Sally have stepped in as replacements on the BBC show.

Earlier this month, viewers were quick to notice that Roger had taken Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt's place over the weekend, as he hosted the show with fellow presenter Rachel Burden.

Sally, who usually presents the sports segment on the programme also stepped in to replace Louise in March.

Monday May,31 was a bank holiday across the UK, so this may be the main reason as to why the usual presenters were missing from the schedule.
