Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healy says she is ‘truly sorry’ for breaking lockdown rules to attend an illegal rave this summer.
Photos emerged of the TV star, who plays Goldie McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, arriving at a party in Manchester in June.
Chelsee, 32, apologised soon after the photos emerged and still regrets breaking the lockdown measures put in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The actress has told The Sun: ‘It’s hard to resist the temptation of breaking the rules but they have to be followed.
‘I made a silly mistake. I am truly sorry. I now realise it was stupid and irresponsible. The whole Covid thing has definitely taken its toll on everyone.
‘This time I will just have to abide by the rules until it blows over. You have to abide by the rules.’
These days, Chelsee is taking the lockdown measures so seriously that she’s even banned her boyfriend Jake McLean from visiting her at home, which she shares with her three-year-old daughter Coco.
‘I haven’t been seeing him as often as I might have done because of the restrictions, my work and Coco,’ she revealed.
‘I won’t be locking down with anyone I’m seeing because I’ve got a daughter and she’s my first priority, and he’s in London and that would be too much of a drama.
‘I’ll just stick with the baby, me and work.’
The former Strictly Come Dancing star began dating Jake earlier this year and shares Coco with ex-boyfriend Jack Malloy.
Chelsee’s Hollyoaks co-star Malique Thompson-Dwyer — who portrayed her on-screen son Prince McQueen — also attended an illegal quarantine rave over the summer.
Malique also apologised for causing ‘offence’ and said he’s had family members die from Covid-19.
