Coronation Street: Aggie expresses concern for Ronnie’s arrival
Coronation Street’s Ronnie Bailey (played by Vinta Morgan) finds himself on the receiving end of his neighbours’ wrath this week when his latest contract causes consternation.
He and his brother and business partner Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) are seen leaving the Rovers Return after being approached about converting it into flats – and it doesn’t go down well with the residents.
It is just the latest stress to befall the family next week as spoilers released by ITV show that Ed is sinking further into despair and debt over his gambling addiction.
Although Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) promises to pay him for all the work he has done adapting his flat to help him live with his MND he is unable to give him any cash until his disability grant comes in and Ed is forced to mask his disappointment.
Against his better judgment, he is forced to go along with Ronnie’s commission for the Rovers.

He tells Ed he’s had a call from a property developer mate and he’d like them to oversee the conversion of the Rovers into flats.
Ed is somewhat delighted when Ronnie’s girlfriend Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) warns that he’ll turn the whole street against him as it might put him off.
However undeterred Ronnie ploughs ahead bringing Ed with him to inspect the premises.
Unfortunately their visit to the empty pub conincides with a meeting of the Save the Rovers campaigners who have been organised by Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger).
As they file out of the pub a devasted Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) is hearbroken believing that Ronnie has betrayed her.

Recently Claire Sweeney, who plays new addition Cassandra Plumer, shared a snap on her Instagram that seemed to imply that Jenny will be back behind the bar of the Rovers soon.
Posing with her Dancing on Ice partner Colin Grafton on set, the duo beamed as they stood outside of the iconic watering hole.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the name above the doors was no other than Jennifer Connor suggesting she will be back at the helm at some point.
However, for the time being, the Rovers future is still uncertain and will Jenny ever be able to forgive Ronnie for his treachery?
Coronation Street is on ITV Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm.
