EastEnders fans rumble who the dad of Lilys baby is after unexpected pregnancy

EastEnders fans believe they've worked out who the dad of Lily Slater's baby is following a dramatic twist in the New Year's Day episode.

During the explosive scenes, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was left speechless when medics informed her that Lily, 12, was in fact pregnant.

The youngster was one of three people to have collapsed at the Slater's New Year's Eve party with paramedics suspecting they had been a victim of carbon monoxide poisoning.

However, after being rushed to the hospital, doctors performed a series of tests on Lily including an ultrasound scan of her stomach which revealed she was in fact, pregnant after she had been complaining of stomach cramps and also vomiting at the party.

Now, fans think they've rumbled the identity of Lily's mystery baby daddy following the jaw-dropping revelation.

Taking to social media, one follower penned: "I reckon Ricky Jr is the dad to Lily's baby # EastEnders."

Before a second went on to say: "Oh what a twist Have a feeling Nugget or young Ricky is the dad #EastEnders."

"Genuinely hate that they've made a 12-year-old pregnant but the hints have been there since there was so much focus on Amy. Then the test in a crisp packet. I assume the father is Ricky because of how he's lost attention in the midst of Amy's problems. #EastEnders," commented a third.

While a fourth viewer typed: "So Ricky Jr. is the father? Jack will not be happy with this. A Slater-Branning child. What story. #EastEnders."

Speaking about the shock storyline, actress Lacey said: "Stacey's in complete and utter shock.

"They're talking about her twelve-year-old daughter, who doesn't have a boyfriend, and as far as Stacey knows, isn't really that into boys.

"Initially, Stacey thinks that the doctors must be wrong, after that, she goes through every single emotion that you could possibly feel in such a short space of time."

The character who runs a local business confides in her mum, Jean (Gillian Wright) who was also hospitalised with carbon monoxide poisoning.

"For Stacey to share this secret with her mum is a massive weight off of her shoulders, but she also wants someone to tell her what she should do," she added.

Lacey went on to state that her character is unsure as to whether she should be angry at her daughter, or tell her she cannot keep her unborn child.

However, Stacey initially decides to hide the secret from Martin Fowler who has acted as a surrogate dad to the youngster following her biological dad, Ryan's exit from Albert Square.
