Things are literally heating up in the Dales next week, as Emmerdale spoilers reveal an unforeseen fire will cause a world of misery for some of the residents.
Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) will also face tragedy of her own too, as she is tackled to the ground by an anger-fuelled Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) who is desperate for Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) to pay for her horrible online crimes against poor April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan).
Meanwhile a pub fire leaves Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) severely injured and unable to work.
But will he receive the compensation he feels he deserves?

Cathy and Heath finally come clean to April Dingle regarding the online bullying that she's been receiving and admit that they were behind it all along.
But April is understandably unimpressed when Cathy reveals that she has been causing her an immense amount of grief for several weeks.
Overridden with guilt Cathy decides to run away.
Later on, Heath realises that his twin sister is missing and rushes to tell his dad Bob and step-mum Brenda that Cathy’s gone missing overnight.

In a burst of panic, Bob starts to search for Cathy relentlessly but Rhona ends up finding her and insists she’s going to tell Brenda, Bob and the school about her bullying.
Scared of what she could possibly face, Cathy makes a run for it.
Meanwhile on Main Street a confrontation develops as Cathy tries to run away from Rhona. Noticing all the commotion, Brenda steps in but Rhona grabs Cathy to stop her from running away again.

Things end up spiralling out of control rapidly, with Rhona elbowing Brenda away from her but she catches her in the face.
Feeling undefeated, Brenda tries to grab Rhona again but Rhona aggressively shoves her and she falls roughly to the ground. All are left evidently shocked by what just took place.
But will Brenda forgive Rhona for being heavy handed?

Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is feeling rather stressed-out at the moment, but to lift his spirits he decides to do a barbecue at the Woolpack.
To help assist him with his culinary endeavours, Marlon ropes in Matty to give him a helping hand and offers him cash-in-hand.
As the lads prepare to get cooking, Marlon exits leaving a pleased Matty to use the grill unattended.

But Matty squirts lighter fluid on the barbecue, sending up a fireball of flames burning his hands and laving him severely injured.
Distressed by the incident, Marlon beats himself up after he discovers that Matty is seriously hurt.
But to make matters worse, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) informs Marlon that they could potentially lose everything if Matty decides to sue.
The following day, Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) tells Chas that Matty is entitled to compensation for his injuries which have left him unable to work.
Paddy Dingle's (Dominic Brunt) concerns begin to increase for his partner Chas as she worries about where she will get the money from for a potential payout.
But Chas may be in luck, as it’s not long before an unexpected and unwelcome offer comes in.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm with an extra episode Thursdays at 8pm on ITV
