Grace to 'make explosive exit in dark story' in Coronation Street

Grace Vickers (Kate Spencer) is reportedly set to leave Coronation Street this autumn when her current storyline wraps up.

The character, who first appeared on the cobbles in 2019, has caused chaos for the Bailey clan, and recent scenes have seen her resorting to blackmail in order to get what she wants.

Aggie and Ed Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw and Trevor Michael Georges) have had little choice but to comply with Grace’s demands, as she’s using their granddaughter Glory as leverage, claiming she will stop them from seeing her if she doesn’t get her hands on their home!

Michael (Ryan Russell), meanwhile, has no idea what his scheming ex is up to, but it appears as if all will be revealed in the not-too-distant future.

A source said: ‘Grace and Michael’s relationship will come to an explosive head resulting in her leaving the street..

‘Their relationship has been turbulent to say the least but it’s about to go up a notch once more in the Autumn. It’s going to be one of the major storylines on the show.’

The insider also claims that Grace will not be killed off, and therefore she might return in the future.

They added to The Sun: ‘The door has been left open for Grace to return to the street at a later date should producers decide they want her to return.’ has reached out to Coronation Street for comment.

Grace made her first appearance in the ITV soap in November 2019, when Michael spotted her with a child named Tianna.

He assumed that Tianna was his, and Grace failed to correct him, allowing him to build a relationship with the toddler.

It was later revealed that Grace was working as a childminder, and she was simply looking after Tianna. Her manipulation saw her end up behind bars, but when she returned to the cobbles, she revealed that she was pregnant with Michael’s baby.

She gave birth to Glory several months later, and Michael was subsequently able to forgive her for what she’d done. However, he recently told Grace that he no longer loves her, which left her seething.

She planned to depart the eponymous street and move to Hull with Glory, but Aggie and Ed pleaded with her to stay. She agreed to do so, but only if the couple gave her the house they had recently purchased!
