Hollyoaks' Jennifer Metcalfe and Greg Lake announce split after eight years

Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has revealed she has split from her long-term partner Greg Lake after eight years together.

The Mercedes McQueen actress penned a statement to fans, making it clear that she and her ex are still good pals and are prioritising taking care of their son, three-year-old Daye.

She wrote: ‘Greg and I decided to part ways amicably a couple of months ago.

‘We remain friends and we both will continue to happily co parent Daye and would appreciate privacy during these times. Thank you to everyone who has supported us before, during, and after this.’

Ex-Geordie Shore star Greg also shared an almost identical statement on his social media.

Fans have supported the pair, with one writing under Greg’s statement: ‘I’m so glad you remain friends and raise your little boy co parenting nice to see a couple that even though they split dont turn sour and affect the little ones upbringing.. hats off to you both’.

Another added: ‘All the best to you both.. xx’.

Jennifer, 36, has still been sharing snaps of the family together, including a day out back in July.

Back in June, the actress also shared a photo of Greg, 35, cuddling Daye for Father’s Day, writing in the caption: ‘Happy Father’s Day @greglake_ we ❤️ u very much x’.

In June 2017, Jennifer and Greg welcomed Daye, with the little one recently turning three.

Jennifer joined Hollyoaks in 2006, being the first actress to be cast by executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.

Meanwhile, Greg rose to fame on Geordie Shore, first appearing in 2011.
