Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has joked that she hopes the show ‘falls apart’ without her as she wrapped up filming.
The actress, who plays Nancy Osborne, completely filming on the Channel 4 soap a number of weeks ago, as she headed on maternity leave.
The scenes in question, which saw Nancy venture to the US in a bid to get poorly daughter Morgan the best chance at getting better, aired earlier this week, bringing to an end her time on the show for now.
Jess marked her temporary departure with a farewell video, which was shared on Hollyoaks’ official social media platforms, with the soap star joking that she hopes the show will ‘fall apart’ without her.
We have no choice but to stan.
‘Right, so it’s my last scene’, she said on the short video. ‘Me and Bump are off on maternity leave! Very exciting.
‘I really hope the show falls apart without me!’, she continued, before blowing a kiss to the viewers and adding: ‘lots of love’.
Jessica revealed earlier this week that she had given birth to a baby boy named River.
‘Baby River, you have changed our world forever,’ she wrote, revealing her little one’s name. ‘We are so grateful we get to love you.’
Nancy, meanwhile, said goodbye to her loved ones on Thursday (March 23), as she got into a black cab and headed for the airport, hoping that Dr Laithwaite – who resides in the US – can perform the major surgery on baby Morgan, who has a heart condition.
