Love Island 2019: Samira Mighty to dish the dirt as Daily Star’s official roving reporter

Love Island 2019 finally kicks off tonight, and we will get better acquainted with this year’s cast.

One thing which can really help with understanding life in the villa is having an insiders’ perspective.

And Daily Star have appointed just the right person for the job – former Islander Samira Mighty.

The Love Island 2018 contestant will give her opinion on what is going on in the villa week-on-week.

What happened to Samira on Love Island?

Those who watched Love Island last year might remember Samira quit Love Island after Frankie Foster was booted off.

Samira confided in pal Dani Dyer that she wanted to follow her heart and pursue her connection with Frankie.

Samira didn’t have an easy journey on Love Island, after being coupled up with Dr Alex and Sam Bird, but didn’t have a romantic connection with either.

When Samira finally found the spark with Frankie, he was booted off the show.

Frankie asked Samira to be his official girlfriend on the spin-off show Aftersun – but in August 2018 the couple parted ways.
