It’s fair to say the Love Island reunion got off to an explosive start as Shaq Muhammad confronted Martin Akinola over the X-rated comments he made about his girlfriend Tanya Manhenga.
The loved-up couple placed fourth in the epic ITV final as they joined beloved host Maya Jama on Sunday night’s (March 19) highly anticipated reunion episode.
In the hour-long episode, the group discussed their first week outside of the villa after bidding a fond farewell to the stunning South Africa villa.

Just minutes into the show, Maya invited Martin up onto the sofa as they looked back over the trio’s messy love triangle.
It didn’t take long before things got heated as Shaq slammed Martin for his “disgusting” comments he made about Tanya following an appearance on the Reality podcast.
Speaking on the podcast, Martin claims he told Shaq: “On the outside out I would be f***ing your girls in ways you can’t imagine.”
He said he spoke to Shaq about a conversation he had with Tanya while he was still in the villa: “I told her she didn’t love you and she didn’t agree or disagree with that.
“He was crying that night and everyone thought he was crying because of the Movie Night, no he was crying because of that I told him.”
After listening to the podcast, Shaq suggested Martin had degraded Tanya with his cruel comments on the show.
Daily Star has since reached out to Shaq, Tanya and Martin’s representatives for a comment.
It didn’t take long before fans flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts on the awkward conversation on the show as they jumped to Shaq’s defence.
One user penned: “Shaq and Tanya have every RIGHTT to be upset at Martin for talking about Tanya like that.”

Another agreed: “Martin deserved more lashings but very glad Tanya & Shaq got him to stutter an apology on live TV” as a third echoed: “Martin is STUTTERING he is stressed.”
Meanwhile, one account suggested the group should move on from the drama, tweeting: “This segment between #SHAYNA & Martin was awkward to watch, hopefully they can all squash it now and live happily ever after.”
