CBS viewers were left terrified after LA weatherwoman Alissa Carlson Schwartz collapsed to the ground in a terrifying moment broadcast live during Saturday’s morning news bulletin. Her eyes rolled back before she slammed onto the floor as crew scrambled to cut the cameras.

The KCAL anchor was moments away from delivering her 7am report when she fell forward onto her desk as she fainted live on-air.

Fellow reporters Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim didn’t initially notice what had happened and were continuing to speak to the presenter.

“Let’s start off with a check of your next weather with meteorologist Alissa Carlson,” Nichelle said as the cameras turned to Alissa.

Footage shows the moment she pauses to speak before slowly leaning forward as her eyes rolled to the back of her head.

She fell onto the desk directly in front of her, before falling onto the TV set’s floor.

Before even catching what was happening, Nichelle had said: “Alissa this really is the calm before the storm.”

The hosts quickly noticed something wasn’t right and after hearing Alissa hit the floor both anchors jumped out of their seats.

Nichelle abruptly said: “We’re going to go ahead and go to break right now,” as cameras continued to show the desk where Alissa was standing.

After the moment played out live on-air, viewers flocked to social media to send the weather presenter well-wishes.

@michaelSFfullam tweeted: “My thoughts and prayers for Alissa Carlson Schwartz of KCAL. I hope she is going to be alright.”

While @LaDonaDelValle said: “Hmmm KCAL Los Angeles meteorologist Alissa Carlson Schwartz collapses on air. I hope she’s okay. This is v concerning.”
