NICOLA Adams has admitted she was "frustrated" about being axed from Strictly despite testing negative for coronavirus.
But the boxer is taking her knock-back on the chin – and confirmed The Sun's story she WILL return for one last dance in the final.
Speaking on BBC Two's It Takes Two tonight, Nicola told host Zoe Ball: "I'm doing OK thanks.
"It was a little bit frustrating not being able to continue when I'd just got back into the swing of things and I was enjoying the dancing.
"But the rules are in place to keep everyone safe so I'm doing my part."
Former champion flyweight boxer Nicola, 38, was forced to leave the competition last week after her professional partner Katya Jones, 31, got Covid-19.
Nicola added: "Katya has been an amazing dance partner. I definitely feel like I've made a friend for life.
"It was a bit weird [on Saturday night] not being part of the show, but everyone did a great job.
"Me and Katya will be coming back…"
The Sun revealed this week BBC bosses are now planning for the pair to have an extended dance during the final.
A source said: “Strictly bosses knew as soon as Nicola had to leave that they wanted to do something special for her.
“The rules mean she can’t come back to the show next year but they’re planning to bring her back with Katya for the final.
“And Katya is a much valued professional on the show and is hugely popular.
"This hasn’t affected her place in the Strictly family.”
