Piers Morgan and Lorraine Kelly slam Rita Ora after she flouts lockdown rules with huge 30th birthday party

PIERS Morgan and Lorraine Kelly have slated Rita Ora after she flouted lockdown rules.

Yesterday, The Sun exclusively revealed that the hitmaker hosted her 30th birthday party on Saturday at Notting Hill restaurant Casa Cruz, despite England being in the midst of a national lockdown due to Covid-19.

In light of the report, ITV presenters Piers and Lorraine slammed the singer on today's Good Morning Britain.

Wishing Lorraine a happy 61st birthday, Piers' GMB co-host Susanna Reid asked how she would mark the occasion in lockdown.

Susanna said: "It's a shame we can't come give you a hug and a kiss, although you're probably glad you can't get one from Piers.

"Are you having a small get together?"

To which Scottish star Lorraine replied indignantly: "Yeah, it's just what everyone is doing apart from Rita Ora".

Equally appalled by Rita's decision to host a party for 30 people outside her social bubble, Piers weighed in: "These celebs, I'll do what I want and no one else matters, I don't get it…

"What's the restaurant doing allowing all those people in?"

Lorraine explained that she was spending the day with her husband Steven Smith and then took one last swipe at Rita's party by adding: "I could have 61 people for 61?

"That would be quite nice when it's all over" – in reference to the star having 30 people for her 30th birthday.

Yesterday, The Sun revealed that Rita had breached lockdown laws by hosting a lavish 30th birthday party.

Thirty people attended the secret bash at a restaurant in West London on Saturday.

A hospital worker said: “Do they think the rules don’t apply to them as they’re rich or famous?”

Brits forced to scrap social events due to lockdown rules have blasted Rita as a selfish Covid cheat.

Last night, No10 again stressed people should not break the rules, so we can beat the virus.

But more than 30 people were believed to have attended Rita’s lavish party on Saturday night.

Rita boozed with guests including models Cara and Poppy Delevingne.

Her sister Elena, 32, Towie pal Vas Morgan, 31, and others were seen sneaking through the back exit clutching bottles of alcohol including Rita’s own-brand tequila.

At one stage, police visited the restaurant. Officers were seen peering through the windows and trying to open a heavy-duty security door.

A source said: "Rita and her sister came to the restaurant first, all dolled up and clearly looking forward to a good night.

"There were a number of guests, all dressed up very glamorously, and everyone entered the building through the back, with security watching the front to make sure no one else went in. It went on until the early hours."

Last night Nicholas Fallows, who is listed as the sole director of Casa Cruz London Ltd, insisted it was the first he’d heard about it. He said the restaurant was "owned by shareholders".

The Government imposed a national lockdown from November 5 until December 2 in a bid to prevent social gatherings and mixing of households.

Rules state people must stay at home and avoid meeting others they do not live with.

Restaurants should remain closed except for takeaway meals. Breaches can result in hefty fines.

Last night a Government spokesperson stressed: “Everyone must continue to follow the rules, or we risk losing control of this virus again.”

The Met Police said: "Police were called at 9.10pm on Saturday to reports of a potential breach of Covid regulations in W11."
