Priscilla Presley 'horrified' and 'saddened' after Graceland is vandalized by BLM protestors

PRISCILLA Presley said that she's "horrified" and "saddened" after Graceland was vandalized by Black Lives Matter protestors.

On Tuesday morning, Elvis Presley's Graceland estate in Memphis was found sprayed with "Black Lives Matter" and "Defund the Police" graffiti.

The protest slogans were painted on a wall surrounding the King's mansion, according to the Commercial Appeal.

Elvis' ex-wife Priscilla, 75, took to Facebook on Thursday to address the vandalism.

She wrote: "Concerning the graffiti at Graceland, I’m absolutely horrified that those in our own city disgraced the walls surrounding Graceland. I’m saddened by acts like this and appalled by this behavior."

She then thanked those that helped clean up the mess by adding: "We were able to clean all the graffiti off thanks to our dedicated crew."

The property, which is a signature Memphis landmark, was also branded with phrases including "Abolish ICE" and "F**k Trump."

The graffiti was written over notes written to Elvis over the years by fans.

The Appeal reported that cleaners quickly got to work and started removing the graffiti with power-washers by mid-morning Tuesday.

Additionally, Memphis-based concert venue The Levitt Shell was also hit by the protestors.

A number of slogans such as "Eat the Rich," "Defund MPD [Memphis Police Department]" and tributes to Breonna Taylor were written on the property.

Graceland opened to the public back in 1982.

The King of Rock 'n' Roll lived on the property for 20 years until he died at the age of 42 on August 16, 1977.

Following the act of vandalism, social media users have been debating whether the graffiti was the fault of left-wing "thugs" or if the people looking to discredit Black Lives Matter protestors in the area were responsible.

Memphis Police are said to be investigating the vandalism.

Elvis and Priscilla were married from 1967 until 1973.

She was just 14-years-old when she met her future husband, who was 24 at the time, in Germany in 1959.

Priscilla moved in with him at his Graceland estate in 1963 before they wed in Las Vegas in 1967.

The former couple share daughter Lisa Marie Presley, 52.

Priscilla served as the chairwoman of Elvis Presley Enterprises and was a driving force behind turning Graceland into a top tourist attraction.
