Selling Sunset returned bigger and better than ever earlier this month for season three. The drama picked up not too long after from where series two finished where Mary Fitzgerald tied the knot with Romain Bonnet. This time around though, there was far less happier news taking centre stage in the Netflix series.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Selling Sunset.
Real estate agent Chrishell Stause was welcomed to The Oppenheim Group back in season one.
She grew close to both Mary and Amanza Smith and had her fair share of drama with the office diva Christine Quinn.
But in terms of love life, it seemed pretty simple for Chrishell as she was married to This Is Us actor Justin Hartley.
They had dated for four years before saying their vows and were married for two years.
So when news of Justin filing for divorce broke, much like viewers at home, Chrishell was shocked.
Midway through season three, the real estate agents found out about the divorce.
In the following episode, Chrishell confided in friend Mary about what had happened, claiming that she only found out 45 minutes prior to it being announced via online publication TMZ.
A teary-eyed Chrishell said: “I found out because he text[ed] me that we were filed.”
Justin has not spoken out publicly about the divorce but many are eager to hear what he has got to say for himself.
Will Justin Hartley be in Selling Sunset season 4?
Creator Adam DiVello has spoken out about how the show had requested for Justin to appear on Selling Sunset numerous times.
Unfortunately, the offer was turned down which DiVello believed was due to Justin’s commitment to another show.
He is one of the stars of NBC’s emotional drama This Is Us which will return for season five later this year.
Speaking to Variety, DiVello said: “I think it was just contractual.
“We certainly asked many, many times. I think it was just his contract with NBC.”

While the Netflix series wanted him to be in series three, Justin was unable to do and this will likely be the case for season four as well.
Selling Sunset has also not yet been confirmed for another series.
There has yet to be any official announcements made in regards to the future of the show.
Following the drama at the end of series three though, it seems unlikely Netflix would put an end to Selling Sunset just yet.
Despite what had happened with Justin, Chrishell attended Christine’s gothic inspired wedding to Christian Richard.
After the ceremony, an argument broke out between Davina Portraz and Mary as the former started sticking up for Justin, saying how they didn’t know his side of the story.
This then led to Chrishell walking out of the wedding, returning to her new home alone and clearly contemplating her future.
Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix.
