Spitting Image is a satire puppetry sitcom that originally aired in the 1970s. Britbox revived the comedy with some familiar faces from today’s news, sports and pop culture. Here’s everything we know so far about the cast of Spitting Image season 2.
Who are the puppets in Spitting Image season 2?
So far, little has been revealed about who will be starring in the new episodes of Spitting Image.
But the trailer for series two has given away just some of the characters that are going to be popping up.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former President of the United States Donald Trump will return with Matt Forde once again providing their voices.
Impressionist Billy West who has worked on Futurama and Disenchantment is also expected to be back to fulfil the roles of characters such as Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell, Mark Zuckerberg and Vladimir Putin.

Former Britain’s Got Talent star Jess Robinson should be back as well as she does the voices of Greta Thunberg, Nicola Sturgeon and Meghan Markle.
Given the controversy around the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the former Suits actress and Prince Harry, who was voiced by George Fouracres in season one, are bound to return.
Other puppets featured in the trailer are Joe Wicks, Michael Gove, Vladimir Putin, Prince Charles and James Corden.
This time around, Spitting Image will be welcoming some famous faces from the world of football as well.
Earlier this year, Britbox revealed three new puppets that are going to feature in season two.
These with be England footballer Marcus Rashford, England captain Harry Kane and England manager Gareth Southgate.
This is in reaction to England making it into the Euro 2020 final, the first time in 55 years.
Unfortunately, the team missed out on their chance of winning against Italy when it came down to penalties, losing 3-2.

Creator Roger Law said: “In this next Spitting Image series we will be in line with Boris’s ‘Levelling-up Policy’.
“The puppets are moving to Hartlepool. We were going last week but we all got pinged on our apps so Dominic Cummings will be driving us back and forth until the HS2 is operating.
“Also in line with Boris, this series will go massively over budget with the full support of BritBox.
“We will also be levelling off the number of our political puppets by introducing puppet characters that have a grasp of what they do for a living – the English football team along with Gareth Southgate for starters.
“With lunacy rife, it is a tough time for satire but someone has to do it.”
Spitting Image will be back for season two on Saturday, September 11.
Much like the first series though, the entirety of the show will not be ready to watch all in one go.
Instead, the series is going to be made up of nine episodes, airing weekly over the next couple of months.
Spitting Image season 2 will be released on Saturday, September 11, on Britbox.
