Spoilers: Kush’s exit storyline revealed as his life is destroyed in EastEnders

Since lockdown, life for Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) has gone from bad to worse in EastEnders and, as he and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) return to Walford after going into hiding post-heist, he is set to make a life changing decision that could pave the way for his exit.

It’s no secret that Davood is leaving the show and it’s hard to see how he can come back from this – the police want their culprit and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is determined that it won’t be one his clan going down.

Kush and Kat arrive back to find police swarming Albert Square after an attempt to kill Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). They sneak back in, attempting to avoid detection but Kat soon puts her head above the parapet by heading to confront Phil.

As she arrives at the Arches, she demands the money that she is owed but when Phil hands over cash, Kat is fuming to discover that it is only a portion of what she expected. With Phil playing games and trying to work out who is the weak link, Kush fears for the future of his family.

Deciding to face the music, he goes to the police station without telling Kat – and he confesses to the crime.

Later, Kat comes face to face with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and he takes pleasure in telling her that Kush has handed himself in.

As Kat is left reeling by Kush’s actions, she speaks to Phil who is enraged – and he warns her that she will be sorry if Kush drops any of them in it.

But what will Kush do? Will he take the fall alone – and is this the end of the line for him?
