The Chase contestant left grinding her teeth after BRUTAL snub from Shaun Wallace

THE Chase contestant was left grinding her teeth after a BRUTAL snub from Shaun Wallace.

Wednesday's episode of the ITV quiz show saw Government officer Liz up first, and she achieved a respectable £4,000 in her Cash Builder.

She then headed to the main table where she learned she would be taking on The Dark Destroyer, Shaun.

Once he had taken his seat, Shaun started making his offers, with the low one being £400 and the high one £20,000.

Even host Bradley Walsh seemed shocked by the low offer, crying "£400, wow!"

Liz's team mates also backed her up with Lee telling her: "You're better than the £400, take the £4,000 and get back to us."

Jonny added: "£400 is an insult, go for the £4,000 and bring it back."

Liz agreed, telling Bradley and Shaun: "I'm insulted by the £400, I'm gonna go with the £4,000."

It turned out to be the right decision, as Liz made it back to her seat with £4,000 and secured her position in the Final Chase.

Liz was joined by Jonny and Corinna in the final round and the team secured a number of push-backs which helped them beat Shaun.

The winning team then split the prize pot of £11,000 between them.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
