The Masked Singer: Loose Women panelists speculate identities
Sausage blew The Masked Singer viewers and judges away with their rendition of Skin by Rag’n’Bone Man during the first episode of season two. The contestant managed to win a place in the next stage of the ITV competition but their debut sent viewers into meltdown as to which celebrity could be showcasing their vocal talent. Former X Factor star Stacey, 31, was one of the most popular names thrown into the mix and it seems her Loose Women co-stars believe she could be the elaborate character too.
Speaking on Tuesday’s edition of the panel show, Ruth Langsford explained Coleen Nolan, 55, thought it was Stacey, to begin with.
“I think it definitely sounds like Stacey,” Coleen said to her co-stars.
Expanding further, Coleen added: “I do, I do. There’s elements to it – and she loves sausage and chips!”
Ruth similarly mused on the idea before Brenda Edwards, 52, said: “I think it’s an older lady and she might be black, I think.
“I think it’s an actress we don’t think can sing,” she added before Ruth told her fans thought it might be her.

“The thing is, we wouldn’t be able to tell,” the host continued, referring to the secrecy of taking part in the programme.
“Stacey wouldn’t be able to tell us, we genuinely wouldn’t know,” Ruth added, but could this be a hint the former X Factor star is the Sausage?
Taking to Twitter, fans have been sharing their thoughts on Stacey being the Sausage after picking up on certain puzzle pieces and starting to put them together.
During the character’s clue package which played before they sang, the contestant seemed to have a female voice.
Stacey wouldn’t be able to tell us
“The thing about Sausages is that they’re a combination of a little bit of everything, and I guess you could say the same about me,” they began.
“With my chips and my newspaper wrapping, I might look a bit of a tomboy, but I really am a girly girl,” they said, stood in front of a fish and chip van.”
“I love a bit of glam, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have fun, and to be honest I’m a bit of a silly sausage, and to be honest I just want to have a laugh,” Sausage added.
After singing for the first time, the contestant then went on to tell the panel: “My performances are something of a balancing act”.
On the social media platform, one fan wrote: “Sausage is 100 percent Stacey Solomon,” with a second adding: “Stacey Solomon is my guess for the sausage.”

“Sausage sounds exactly like Stacey Solomon when they talk. I am sticking with her,” a third curious viewer posted.
A fourth commented: “Just compared Stacey Solomon and Sausage and all I can say is, Stacey, we know it’s you behind the mask #maskedsinger #maskedsingerUK.”
“#MaskedSinger I’m going to say Stacey Solomon for #Sausage. It wasn’t until the end interview but definitely sounded like her,” a fifth shared.
However, others think another famous Stacey, as in former Strictly Come Dancing champion Stacey Dooley, 33, could be hiding inside the costume.
“#MaskedSinger sausage is Stacey Dooley no?” a sixth asked with a seventh opining: “Convinced the sausage is Stacey Dooley, putting that out there right now #maskedsinger.”
New judge and comedian Mo Gilligan, 32, has previously put his support behind Sausage and believes the contestant could go all the way and win.
Speaking with Express.co.uk and other publications, the standup said: “Sausage was one of my favourites. It was a favourite of a lot of people.
“I don’t want to say why it’s my favourite because I really want everyone to be surprised, to understand why it’s our favourite.
“I don’t want to spoil it for people but you’re really going to fall in love with Sausage. If I needed an act to open up a show, it would have to be Sausage.”
The Masked Singer continues Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
