Who is Kenny Doughty? The Vera actor plays DS Aiden Healy on the ITV hit show

KENNY Doughty will back on our screens for the second half of series 11 of the ITV's hit show Vera, which airs January 2022.

Who is Kenny Doughty?

Kenny Doughty is an English actor and director.

Born on March 27, 1975, the Barnsley, South Yorkshire native is 46 years old.

He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He is married to fellow actress Caroline Carver who is known for her parts in The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns (1999), The Aryan Couple (2004), and My First Wedding (2006).

What is Kenny Doughty famous for?

Kenny started his career in TV by starring in shows like Heartbeat and Dinnerladies.

In 2005 Kenny won the Best Actor award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival for his performance in The Aryan Couple

Since then he has starred in many other popular shows including New Tricks, Coronation Street and Wire in the Blood.

In 2013 Kenny played Gaz in the hit stage show The Full Monty and was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

Kenny is most known for his role as DS Aiden Healy opposite Brenda Blethyn in ITV's Vera.

When did Kenny Doughty return to ITV’s Vera?

Vera series 11 premiered on ITV on August 29, 2021 on ITV.

There are a total of five episodes for series 11.

However, the series has been split into two halves due to there being a filming delay from the Covid pandemic.

Vera will return for the rest of season 11 on ITV in the New Year.

Episode three of the unfinished series is going to premiere on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 8pm.
