The rapper who had worked with Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Chris Brown on his last album Trapped on Cleveland 3, leaves behind a young daughter. 

Who was Lil Keed?

Lil Keed was a 24-year-old American rapper.

Born on March 16, 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, the artist briefly worked at Subway and McDonald's during his teenage years before breaking into the music industry.

He first started making music with his younger brother Semaja Render, posting the songs online.

He was then signed to Young Thug's record label, YSL Records, as well as 300 Entertainment.

What was Lil Keed's cause of death?

The rapper's brother, Lil Gotit, first shared an Instagram story in which he tagged Lil Keed and wrote the message: “Why bro, why u leave me bro,” followed by lots of crying emojis.

He then posted another picture of Lil Keed on his feed, confirming his passing.

Breaking the devastating news to his followers, he wrote: "Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy."

It was later revealed that the rising star complained of "serious stomach pain" just days before his death, according to TMZ, but his cause of death is still unclear.

Rapper Taylor Bennett paid tribute to Lil Keed in an Instagram post, saying: "I want us all to pay respect. It's hard to give flowers when people are alive and I'm guilty.

"Keed you are the new sound of music surpassing hip hop and all genres."

Artist Lil CeeKay also took to Instagram to pay tribute, calling him "an incredible father."

Lil Keed's real name was Raqhid Jevon Render.

He was the sixth out of seven children.

The young star had five brothers and one sister; his younger brother is rapper Lil Gotit.
