A baby boy is fighting for his life after he sustained severe injuries to his head following a collision near a Morrisons superstore.
The baby was with a woman, who were both pedestrians, when a silver Ford KA collided with them on A327 Summit Avenue at around 4.45pm on Monday November 9.
It is understood the woman, in her 30s, suffered injuries to her right leg and the five-month old baby sustained injuries to his head.
Hampshire Police have said the baby’s injuries are believed to be "life-threatening," reports HampshireLive.
Multiple witnesses saw the collision, and have said it occurred near a Morrsions supermarket in the area.
No arrests have been made but police have launched an appeal to help determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
Officers have asked for a man who stopped at the scene and helped move the Ford KA to come forward.
Anyone else who witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage from the area has also been asked to contact the force.
In a statement, Hampshire Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a woman and five month old baby were injured following a collision in Farnborough yesterday (November 9).
"Police were called just before 4.45pm to a collision involving a silver Ford KA and the woman and baby, who were pedestrians, on Summit Avenue.
"The woman, in her 30s, suffered injuries to her right leg. The baby boy sustained what are believed to be life-threatening injuries to his head.
"Officers are making enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dash cam footage from the area, should call 101, quoting 44200434763.
"We are particularly keen to speak with a man who stopped at the scene and assisted in moving the Ford KA."
