Denver police investigating shooting by Westminster officers

Denver police are investigating a shooting by officers from the Westminster Police Department, officials said in a tweet just before 9 p.m. Friday.

The shooting occurred in the 5300 block of Billings Street, Denver police said in the tweet.

An adult male suspect was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, and no officers were reported to be hurt, police said.

The incident marks the second shooting by Colorado law enforcement officers on Friday and the fourth in the last three days.

Earlier Friday, Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputies fatally shot a woman who was wanted in connection with a Denver homicide and who authorities said pulled a gun on law enforcement officers.

On Thursday, a Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy who responded to reports of someone waving a gun on a highway off-ramp shot and killed a man who pulled a gun from his waistband

And on Wednesday, El Paso County sheriff’s deputies fatally shot a man they said fired a weapon a them.
