Dominic Raab branded ‘ridiculous’ for getting Covid numbers wrong on live TV

Braindead Dominic Raab was branded “ridiculous” for getting his Covid numbers wrong on live TV.

Dim Dom sparked nationwide head-scratching as he declared 250 Omicron patients were in hospital – when there were actually only 10.

He then tried to correct his blunder by saying the real number was nine – and blamed his hearing for the cock-up.

Viewers took to Twitter to mock the Deputy PM. Referring to the No10 party scandal, one wrote: “Raab’s just had whatever the opposite of a lightbulb moment is there on #SkyNews. Is he already thinking about the Christmas party?”

Another added: “There’s Dominic Raab on the telly again. S*** for brains? Certainly can’t cope with mental arithmetic.”

And a third commented: “Been wondering for a while but finally realised our so-called deputy PM has got a peanut where his brain should be. Ridiculous man.”

Dense Dom’s latest shambles comes just days after the Daily Star started a campaign to locate his missing brain.

We launched the hunt after the Justice Secretary suggested police would not investigate crimes that happened more than a year ago.

At the same time, a whistleblower branded the ex-Foreign Secretary a “moron” who should not have been left in charge of the UK’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Raab, 47, started yesterday by declaring on Sky News about Omicron numbers: “Last I saw it was in the low hundreds, 250 the last time I looked, but of course the data is being updated all the time.”

Less than an hour later, he told BBC Breakfast: “I know we’ve had one death. I think we’ve got nine people who are in hospital with it.”

He then tried to wriggle out of it on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

Accusing host Adil Ray of “ranting” over his blunder, he said that he had “misheard one of the questions around whether it was hospitalisations of Omicron-related patients or more generally.”

Meanwhile, ministers yesterday attacked Dom’s boss Boris “Bozo” Johnson for showing the same lack of attention to detail. The PM was under pressure to reveal the age and jab details of the person killed by the Omicron strain.
