A dramatic video shows the moment a bolt of lightning struck the top of a skyscraper in Benidorm.
In the clip, recorded on Monday, April 26, a tongue of forked lightning darts out the sky and crashes into the top of the building with a loud bang.
Sparks fly from the impact and a woman shouts: "Oh my God!"
A fire that broke out on the roof of tower two of the 26-storey Balcón de Poniente Building in Avenida Uruguay might have been caused by a lightning strike.
The fire spread to individual gas meters but firefighters were scrambled at 12:15 am and quickly controlled the flames, EuroWeekly reports.
Since it was uploaded on Tiktok by user @raulvandervall the footage has been watched nearly 1 million times and thousands of people have left comments.
Many people were worried by the force of the blast and hoped there were no serious injuries.
One viewer commented: "Hope no one was hurt."
But someone else joked: "Zeus my guy you need to chill out."

"Rule number one remember not to stick a pole into the sky when there is lightning it can be dangerous," said a third.
Meanwhile, another user seemed to hint there might be alien involvement and commented: "The chances of anything coming from Mars is a million to one but… still they come."
There were also people who took the opportunity to mock Benidorm and its inhabitants – who include many British ex-pats and tourists.
"Best thing that could happen to that place," commented one.
Similarly, a second said: "I feel like a natural disaster could only add value."
Benidorm is located in Alicante on Spain's famous Costa Blanca and, due to the high number of British inhabitants and tourists, is full of fish and chips shops and an estimated 280 British-themed pubs.
