The 800-year-old property, Château Le Rosey, currently functions as a rustic-chic boutique hotel that hosts private functions but would also be the perfect holiday home or permanent spot for a buyer keen on a home with a unique history.

Overlooking the village of Bursins, in the heart of La Côte region midway between Geneva and Lausanne, the castle offers incredible panorama views of Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.

The auction will take place on October 7 at 4pm, UK time, and a $100,000 bidder deposit is required. The property was previously listed for CHF 35million (£27.5m).
