Meghan calls Harry ‘H’ as she gives insight into life behind closed doors

Prince Harry has revealed the pet name his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has for him while he was discussing mental health with a group of children.

The 36-year-old Prince and his 39-year-old wife were joined by Teenager Therapy hosts Gael, Kayla and Thomas last week to discuss mental health.

Prince Harry and Meghan gave an insight into life behind closed doors as they opened up to the teenagers for an interview on the podcast – to commemorate World Mental Health Day.

The podcast was released on Saturday to coincide with the annual international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.

During the sit-down chat, Gael asked if Harry had any names he liked to be called, with the Prince saying he didn’t object to any names.

As Gael declared he would refer to the Prince as "Big H", Harry explained that it was not dissimilar to the name his wife called him, revealing Meghan calls him "H".

With the topic of mental health being the focus of the interview, Meghan opened up about the volume of abuse she has received since entering the Royal Family

The Duchess revealed: "I'm told that in 2019 I was the most trolled person in the entire world, male or female.

"Eight months of that I wasn’t even visible – I was on maternity leave or with a baby.

"But what was able to be manufactured and churned out, it’s almost unsurvivable.

"I don’t care if you’re 15 or you’re 25 – if people are saying things about you that aren’t true, what that does to your mental and emotional health is so damaging."

The American actress also opened up about the time ITV journalist Tom Bradby asked her how she was feeling during the 2019 documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey.

She said: "Isn't that funny, it was about a year ago that someone asked me that. We were on a tour in South Africa. On the last day of the tour, we were just about to give Archie a bath, we were exhausted."

Harry explained: "She was still breastfeeding at the time".

Meghan continued: "A lot of people don’t know, it’s like running a marathon, so between every official engagement I was running back to make sure our son was fed, and it was a lot.

"At the very end the journalist asked me 'Well, are you OK?' and I didn’t realise that my answer would receive such an interest from around the world, because I said ‘well thanks, people haven’t really asked me if I'm OK'.

"I didn't think about that answer, I just answered honestly, because I was in a moment of vulnerability because I was tired because there was no presentation, it was just 'Here's where I am, I'm a mum who is with a four-and-half-month-old baby and we are tired.'

"But I think it speaks to the fact that the reason it resonated with people is because everyone wants to be asked if they’re OK.

"So I would say… today, I'm doing well, thank you for asking."
