Missing woman warned her husband would be to blame if anything happened to her

A California woman warned her family that her husband would be to blame if anything happened to her just days before her disappearance on January 7.

According to relatives speaking to Fox News, Maya Millete told them that "if anything happened to me, it would be Larry," referring to her husband, Larry.

The mother-of-three had also recently scheduled an appointment with a divorce lawyer, Billie Little.d.

Maya vanished days later.

The Chula Vista Police Department has not found any evidence of foul play in Maya’s disappearance.

A spokesman for the police department, Eric Thunberg said: "We certainly have people who remain crucial witnesses to her disappearance.

"We are in frequent communication with our regional partners about this case and are working to identify evidence, locate it, analyze it and follow where it leads."

The husband who is being accused by his missing wife's family members speculated that Maya had left Chula Vista to get some alone time.

However, officials claim he has since stopped cooperating with the police.

Maya’s brother-in-law, Richard Drouaillet claims Larry would blame Maya for their marital troubles.

"He just sounded desperate, you know, ‘You gotta listen to me. It’s her fault, it’s her fault.'"

Richard added: "He was more of an aggressor, trying to get us involved.

"He was trying to get us on his side when we felt like it was a lot of lies that he was telling us."

Richard said the last time he and his wife Maricris, Maya's sister, saw the couple was on a camping trip days before she went missing.

It is believed that it was during this trip that she gave the family the warning.

The divorce lawyer, Billie Little visited the family home of Maya and Larry on January 11.

Mr Little claims that when he entered "the windows were all open, the fans were on full blast, it was a little chilly. It looked like he had been cleaning".

He also alleged that Larry blamed Maya for a hole he spotted in the door to the couple's bedroom.
