Prince George’s love for his dad Prince William borders on "hero worship", a body language expert has claimed.
William and Kate's eldest child is celebrating his eighth birthday today, July 22.
The couple have already released a sweet picture to mark the occasion, paying tribute to Prince Philip.
Body language expert Judi James has analysed George’s progression over the years.
She told Express.co.uk: "The young Prince George seemed to have inherited his grandmother Diana’s body language trait of shyness."
She went on: "Like her, though, the signals might have been slightly misleading as it is also possible to see a side of George that suggests quiet confidence and a love of exploring and trying things first.
"He also looks very playful. Despite looking well-behaved and even reflective at times, plus rather mature for his years, he will also throw himself into spontaneous and uninhibited playful fun too, as we can see when he is romping and play-fighting his dad with the help of his younger siblings."
While at school, George exhibited shyness and appeared to be less comfortable around the cameras.
In recent years, he has started to emulate his dad, Judi claims.
She added: "His most recent outings have shown us a very different and much more confident and mature-looking boy keen to mirror the dad he clearly adores and dress and behave in a very similar way to Prince William to signal close bonding bordering on hero-worship."

George has also started to behave like his great-grandmother in one regard, Judi argues.
She added: "George also seems to be showing another trait that the Queen, in particular, excels in – stoicism.
"Although he was bursting with joy as he performed his triumph rituals at that England goal, there looked to be no tears or tantrums when they lost the match, just a slightly long face in response to what must have been a bitter disappointment."
George may end up meeting cousinLilibet on his birthday, aroyal expert earlier claimed.
Although the Cambridges have yet to confirm any plans, they may share a call withPrince Harry andMeghan Markle.
Royal author and expert Marlene Koenig, who runs royalmusings, told the Daily Star: "We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes.
"Catherine did say she looked forward to seeing Lilibet so perhaps there’ll be a Zoom call or whatever or FaceTime from uncle Harry in California.
"But one wonders about that because Harry did not spend a lot of time during his recent visit."
