Prince Harry has touched down in the UK ahead of the unveiling of his mother's statue on what would have been her 60th birthday.

The Duke of Sussex arrived at London Heathrow Airport on Friday to spend the next five days in quarantine in accordance to government travel rules.

Harry's return for Princess Diana's memorial has been much anticipated in light of his apparent feud with brother Prince William and other family members.

His Boeing 777-323 American Airlines flight, landed at 12.38pm on Friday having set off from Los Angeles International Airport at around 3am UK time, MailOnline reports.

With the US on Britain's amber travel list, visitors must quarantine for ten days which can be halved if they pay for a 'test to release'.

Harry will have to return a negative Covid-19 test result on days two and five of his stay, in order to join the Royal Family on Thursday.

Wife Meghan Markle has stayed at home in California with their son Archie and newborn baby daughter Lilibet.

Kensington Palace has confirmed Harry and William will be joined at the Sunken Garden for the unveiling by the statue committee, sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, and garden designer, Pip Morrison.

In a formal statement shared on Twitter by royal author Omar Scobie, the Palace has described Thursday as a "small event".
