Trucker banned from roads for 6 months as horror crash victim still in hospital a year on

Chadwick, from Doncaster, was handed a six month driving ban and fined £1,200 after being sentenced yesterday. 

He was also ordered to pay £750 in court costs. 

Pc Rob Trow, from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “The 35-year-old man has been left with life-changing injuries as a result of Chadwick’s failure to ensure it was safe to enter onto the A38.”

 

“Whilst drivers have a duty of care to pay attention to the road ahead, it is important that drivers of large vehicles ensure they have sufficient time and room to emerge into fast moving traffic,” Pc Trow added.
